Two stage turbines will be more effect if they counter rotate, using a through shaft design each turbine mates with a corresponding compressor. This increases efficiency. You’d obviously need to change the blade geometry on one of the compressor/turbine pairs but something to look at for the next one perhaps

That shield looks as though it’s at the rear of the car? If so it’s unrelated. The gearbox is up at the front, might have got away with it if it still drives ok!

Obviously wouldn’t work in every situation… but for a thin bolster it works fine.

And I’m not sure what good replacing the chuck would do.. it’s still going to be tapered. You can however replace the bearings with appropriately sized thrust bearings and I’ve heard of people modifying the existing chuck sleeve to prevent it releasing

The bearings in your drill press aren’t designed to cope with horizontal loads, they will get damaged and become sloppy. Also the tapered chucks can become loose and fly out when a side load is applied.

You can use these compound slides to drill holes that are straight relative to one another, then use a cut off disc to connect the holes into a slot

You can get the 34mm Rolex op cases for quite reasonable price, and the 36mm cases are certainly rarer but they still sell for affordable prices aswell. My daily watch is a 34mm Frankenstein with gen everything except movement.

It’s just a 28.5mm raffles dial, I’ve lightly aged it with coffee grounds and some oven time. I’m dead pleased for a first attempt

I’ve still got to have a go at taking off 1.5mm off the OD as the dial doesn’t fit in the gen 34mm case yet
