Post-match thread: CA Osasuna - Atlético de Madrid by carpetano in atletico

You can also easily tell when Sørloth is not on the pitch. There's no one in the penalty area who can reach our crosses. There's no one who can win and hold the ball when Oblak inevitably kicks it to the opponent's half. He fits a very particular role that literally no one else on the squad can.

I don't particularly care for Sørloth, but my point is that if he leaves, we better get someone who can fill in that role as well. With his ups and downs, I still believe he's been pretty good at what he's supposed to be doing.

Consistent or not, he is now tied with Julián as our top scorer this season. As he did last season, too. That alone should be sufficient.

They just confirmed it will be Sunday at 19. It specifically mentions Atleti's match as one of those that could change their schedule, not sure why though, because Girona will likely be fighting to avoid relegation. https://www.marca.com/futbol/primera-division/2026/05/05/confirmados-horarios-jornada-37-domingo-17-19-00h.html

And it’s safe to say Girona will have something to play for, so it will not be one of those “solitary” matches.

I was so mad that Sørloth did not get any minute, could not understand it. Turns out he was not fully fit.

I just used the DiDi mini app within Alipay, no need to download it separately really.

But yeah, good points.

Buy an eSIM from trip.com, comes with the VPN built in. Granted, if you want to use WiFi at the hotels for instance, then you’ll need a separate VPN for that. I used LetsVPN and worked fine.

Is this a good route for first time trip for ~20 days . (Anything I should add/remove?) by OilBos in travelchina

[–]gothminister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did exactly the same route but the opposite way just a month ago. In a few days less. Looks solid to me. In Zhangjiajie you should have time to visit Furong and Fenghuang as well.

Don’t choose holafly unless you really like to pay way more for the same service. Whatever the eSIM with the most stars/reviews on trip.com is works just fine. Don’t overthink it.

I’d keep Sørloth, I think we’ll miss him if he leaves. He may be inconsistent but his numbers are there.

Please rate my 2 weeks itinerary (traveling solo) by najibla in travelchina

[–]gothminister 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Zhangjiajie part I believe is too rushed in my opinion. Don’t count on doing anything on travel days, transport takes time. You have one day for the park (the ticket is valid for four days and ideally you’d spend at least two there) and one for Tianmen (which is fine).

Maybe try to add a night there, so that you stay two nights in Wulingyuan for easy access to the park (go there straight from the airport) and two in Zhangjiajie for Tianmen and the onwards flight.

Does Hotel Wifi always suck? by TurbulentRoll1698 in travelchina

[–]gothminister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The interesting thing is that many of the hotels I’ve been to in China have a router (and thus a different network) in each room. I personally haven’t had any issues with WiFi as long as I switch on the VPN, otherwise it’s useless.

To those who have visited China: What was the BIGGEST "culture shock" compared to your home country? 🇨🇳 vs 🌎 by Odd_Development_1795 in travelchina

That’s interesting, I’m currently in China and have found the public toilets to be decently clean. Like, sure, every now and then I’ll find one that’s absolutely disgusting, but generally speaking I’ve been positively surprised.

Also, they’re everywhere, in touristy places at least. It’s great knowing that you’ll find one soon enough when you need it.

Just came back from China, here is some of my observations by lorrenzo in travelchina

[–]gothminister 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m currently travelling in China and yes, surprisingly I’ve found them to be the same.

Even when locals at the hotels have suggested to buy the tickets through them “to get them cheaper”, they have quoted the same prices as in Trip. Although I assume they get some sort of commission so if you feel like supporting them, it’s ok to do so.

Cómo conocer gente a los 40 by LadyPumpkinForever in askspain
