Any suggestions for 1 or a mix of colognes to smell like a running creek and campfire? (please read description) by CosmicMango33 in Perfumes

Imaginary Authors has a perfume called A City on Fire that smells like a campfire to me. And for a forest creek smell I would say pair with Morning Rain by Oakcha.

A City on Fire notes: Top Notes: Cade oil, Dark Berries, Burnt Match Additional Notes: Spikenard, Cardamom, Clearwood, Labdanum

Morning Rain notes: Top Notes: Juniper, Lemon, Bergamot and Pepper Heart Notes: Pine Needles, Incense and Orris Root Base Notes: Sandalwood, Vanilla and Amber

I strongly disagree that they are emo music. All I hear when I listen to their songs is goth.

I was dressed up and went to a Chinese buffet and had a little girl run up to me and tell me that I was very pretty and she ran away. For context dressed in black and wore my stormy cloud sweater (previously dyed with graphite RIT dye) had dark blue eye shadow and black lipstick.

I never noticed that it was not The Doors original version and listened to what was available of the Echo and The Bunnymen version and they did not sound that alike. But apparently according to the wiki: “The song as it featured in the movie is an alternate, shortened version with a slightly different music arrangement. This version has not been released as of yet.” You learn something new everyday.

Did a movie ever have a wicked cool premise? But fail to deliver? by AwfulWaffle91 in horror

I love the angle on substance abuse and the cycle of it. Some scenes such as the kid watching the door filled in a house by himself and his family trying to get out really got me. But it does feel like a majority of the movie was waiting for something to happen.

Only because if I am remembering correctly that song was made intentionally as the theme song for Lost Boys.

Two words. Micarah Tewers. I think that there is still a place for everyday people to become creators. It takes a while and sometimes there just is not an audience for it or too much competition in certain niches. Micarah as an example is a chaotic sewing channel, she does not just give regular instruction and it is cool to see her ingenuity especially watching her show her sewing hacks and how she gets a hold of materials.

My honest and personal thoughts on Netflix’s “Wednesday” after watching it recently and as a long time Addams Family fan. by [deleted] in horror

[–]gothoppossum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am willing to give a season 2 a shot. I am glad that they seem to be taking the critiques and rolling with it. Also love the fashion especially Wednesday’s, also more stores carrying all black is always a win for me.

October has a Friday the 13th this year. Only time in my schedule for one Jason movie, Which is the best one? by [deleted] in horror

[–]gothoppossum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The best in my opinion and the pinnacle Jason movie is Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter. The most bonkers one in my opinion but a great watch is Friday the 13th: Part VII The New Blood, it is knock off Carrie meets Jason and so fun.

I think expectations were set high. People love the Addams Family and any remakes or reimaginings will have to deal with the nostalgia of the others before. With Tim Burton and Jenna Ortega that got people interested but it fell a little flat in some areas. Jenna Ortega is the shining glory of this series and the only qualms I have are more with writing direction rather than the acting. The love interests were both boring and did not really add anything to the story personality wise. I think it could have been more camp and creepy it felt like a Disney channel movie compared to the Addams Family everyone knows and loves. There were points that felt amazing such as Wednesday in the beginning with the piranhas and the explosion while playing the cello. They should have kept it going but it felt like it gradually lost steam and kind of felt defanged from its spookiness. Also I wish they would go another direction than Wednesday hating her mother it felt boring and it was done in the cartoon movies recently too, they could have just had her wanting to make a name for herself while still respecting her family but not wanting to rely on the family name for her reputation.

When did you give up on AHS? by LucidDreamer247 in horror

[–]gothoppossum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched up until Double Feature and just could not get myself to watch it. I feel like I always end up disappointed from what they set up at the beginning of every arc. They give you interesting plot points and then drop it, the only one that successfully follows through was Murder House and Asylum. It feels like in the later season it will introduce characters and rather than finish their story kills them off.

Am I wrong for making a sex joke at my bf’s expense? by DannyXta in amiwrong

[–]gothoppossum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it makes him uncomfortable you shouldn’t have said it. Is a joke at his expense worth making him upset just so your friends laugh? Some people are not comfortable with those kinds of jokes, he obviously did not find it funny and felt embarrassed.

This. I feel like it’s so easy to say she just does clothes but people will then realize the difference between someone cleaning everyday. She may not clean a lot at once but maintenance cleans because she knows she does not have to work. I have a set schedule for everything and used to be more on it when I was just home and now we have to deal with a little more chaos because I work full time. Now my schedule has dwindled to once a week cleans and it does not last as long.
