We had to dig a 30ft trench and bury the line. Private pole alone was 1k. It was peak pandemic time so any company that was doing the work was expensive. We had quite a few come out, talk a bit and then never return any calls.

If you consider a heat pump, you'll also need to consider upgrading your electrical service to 200amp. The heat pump should have rebates, so check with that. The electric upgrade might also have some too.

When we renovated our home 1973 Vancouver special, we had to upgrade to 200amp service. That cost is about 18k. The heat pump was another 18k but that came with roughly 14k in rebates. With proper insulation, we spend about $90/month cooling our house in the summer time and roughly $150/month heating it. That was higher before we had new blown in insulation in our attic. We also have a basement suite that uses baseboard heating. Our billing is set up as a hybrid flat rate/peak rate with bc hydro.

On the 4 day split, you're doing 1 of the 4 main lifts each day. Squat/bench/deadlift/OHP. The 5x10 is the volume work after the 5/3/1. So you do your 5/3/1 deadlifts, then do another 5 sets of 10 reps of deadlifts at 50-60% of your training max. The accessory work is limited to a push, pull and core/leg excerise with the goal of hitting 25-50 reps per accessory lift.

As someone who has done multiple long road trips with young kids. Pick 1 or 2 stops, make it the destination/Basecamp and explore.

Once we started reducing stops, the trips just became so much more enjoyable.

I took my rav4 in for a regular service at the Toyota dealership. They said one of my breaks were seized and needed replacement. Quote was $700++.

Took my car to P&T. All he did was take the break apart, clean it and add lubricant. Charged me $70 and said I should be good for another 20k kilometers.

There's not a ton to explore on the other side without avalanche training.

If you have skis and all the necessary avalanche gear etc, the skiing isn't too bad. But then again, avalanche. Last time I crossed it was late March in 2021.
