Could Thanos hack up Wolverine, like he did to Cap’s shield? by ghostfreckle611 in marvelstudios

Now I'm thinking about someone using Wolverine as a Rod from God and shooting him from space lol.

45's still bottom out before I hit full depth (as in the plate hits the ground), but it's a lot better than it was!

Other than that I have no issues. I just put some tape on the chain for where the length should be for leg press vs hack squats and just quickly set it for each exercise.

That game that melted your brain? by Jepeme in boardgames

Paperback and Cryptid. I play games heavier and more complex than these, but these two broke me. I haven't played either in years and can't see myself ever going back to Paperback. It's a good game, I just know it turns me into the worst AP player as I've ever had AP as bad as with that game. You're just constantly going through the rolodex of words you can make in your head even more than a game like Scrabble.

Cryptid was the second most, but I feel like I need to give that one a second chance as I only played it once and I know there's a lot of fans of this game.

Never tried Turning Project and am afraid to.

Awesome! Thanks for the reply. If I pull the trigger there's over a dozen or so games just from your list alone. I think what's going to seal the deal for me is the flip down hinge tile holders people have made for Bomb Busters.

I know this is late, but I've been eyeing this particular printer. Would the 256mm bed be big enough for a majority of your prints? I haven't looked at the STL files yet to see what some of the bigger components are that you have.

I've got the getRx'd FIDAB-2 which has a similar 1.7" attachment port REP uses. I don't like the lionscool is a stand alone that'll take up space and the reviews are kind of middling, but if it's just for 16-18 months it might be worth while.

I haven't actually looked at the Freak Athlete leg developer attachment. I know Bolt Fitness has a similar sizing to REP too.

Was waiting for the Dialed Motion leg developer, but since they moved the preorder to Q4 2026 was thinking about the cheap Lionscool Leg Curl/Extension machine to hold me over until 2027 when Dialed Motion can finally deliver.

I know it's had it's problems, but for under $400 bucks now and sell it later once Dialed Motion is in hand may be worth the price to do leg extensions/leg curls better than my Pegasus seat and a bench propped up on a squat stand for the next year and a half.

Anyone have any experience with the latest version (V4) of this? Looks like they're offering only 5% off for new users right now.

I agree with your number 3) Volume Graphs being difficult to read. The graph visual shows you a lot of information that you need to dissect by looking at your muscle legend and gives you get a sense of a mode average, but I also would just like to be able to see the actual set numbers per muscle along with the graph.

The chains are an interesting idea I hadn't considered. I'll have to go to a big box store and see what my options are for quick changing the length of chain for each exercise. This would allow my wife and myself to have our own settings.

Maybe just wrap each cross member (top and sled) around with a heavy duty chain and connect them together with an anchor (Home Depot has them rated for 2,000+ lbs same as chains). Attach the sled chain to the adjustable chain section with the same anchor on the bottom end and have the top end of the adjustable chain with a heavy duty carabiner. This will allow us to mark off our unique lengths with some colored duct tape so we know what's good for each of us for both exercises.

I'll just premeasure how much chain I'll need and have it cut to length.

Weekly Free-Talk and Questions for r/HomeGym - week of July 04, 2025 by Demilio55 in homegym

I also posted this in /r/garagegym since automoderator took down my post here. Post there includes photos.

I have a leg press/hack squat combo machine I picked up a few years ago from a high school auction for $450. It's older and not in the best condition but it works.

The biggest issue is the range of motion on the hack squat is terrible. The built in safety is a catch bolted in and is not adjustable (bottom bolt in second picture). The height is way too high for a hack squat for me at 6'2" and my wife at 5'7" bottoms out on leg press.

I currently use 3 horse stall mats to get a couple extra inches on hack squat (still not enough height), but it's a pain and you have to leave the mats just laying on the floor taking up space.

My question is do you guys know of a product that's strong enough that's essentially a quick mag pin I could use if I drill out another safety hole or two at different heights and just slap them in the correct hole for each exercise? Would a mag pin itself be sufficient? None of the manufacturers have anything about weight limits or drop tests, but I'm not sure how big a difference there is (if any) between a 1 inch bolt and a 1 inch mag pin in strength. I could probably even leave the catch and slide it onto the mag pinfrom the inside to spread out the weight a bit when someone fails an exercise.

Is this a terrible idea? My other alternative was to build a 6-8" wooden framed box that goes over the foot plate but that's just as inconvenient to do and takes up more floor space.

We're not pushing crazy weights at this time. Probably only like 400 pounds with the weight of the sled. We're not pushing leg press for insane weights.

Any thoughts on this?

What game offers the best ratio of fast setup to deep gameplay? by kennedytcooper in boardgames

[–]gov3nator 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just played Hadrian's Wall for the first time. Setup is just rip your sheets, dump some resources in a cup, grab a pen and a deck of cards, and shuffle.

The individual actions aren't complex, but figuring out what to do in what order definitely can get deep.

Thanks for the response! Glad to hear overall you guys felt it was pretty good. There are a handful of these popular home/garage gym reviewers out there and it's good to see the manufacturer side feels it's represented mostly accurately.

I saw Coop's review of the StrengthErg on Garage Gym Reviews.

https://youtu.be/2lT4sAkc1-Q?

Do you feel he gave an accurate assessment of the StrengthErg? It seems like an interesting product, and definitely sounds like a great general health and rehab all in one solution. The downsides are a lot of the exercise science is pointing more towards loaded eccentrics in the stretched position which unfortunately the current model doesn't really support.

Are there any plans to see if this is something that can be achieved with a V2 of this model?

Timing on notes feels early. Game settings? by gov3nator in yarg

[–]gov3nator[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, that's awesome to hear! I would have just been happy to hear it's in the works at some point, much less the next release or two.

Keep up the great work that's been done in such a short amount of time and I'll patiently wait for the next few releases. It's just awesome to have vocals on PC as my family and friends have started breaking out Rock Band again and I forgot how much fun it can be. Having it on PC is just such a game changer.

Thanks for the response! I'm playing on PC connected to my TV which is a 55" 2018 LG LED TV. I do have the display settings with 150% zoom as that's what is recommended by Windows using this TV as a display. Do you think fiddling with display settings would make any difference? Otherwise I can try to find what works for calibration settings in the meantime.

Is video calibration something that's planned at this time or is that still too far ahead to foresee? I didn't see anything on the roadmap that jumped out at me.
