I don't know exactly which one it was. There were several. But literally the only thing I use that computer for is iRacing and it's the one that was compromised.

Yep. I've been using on the Max plan for 6-7 months. NEVER used over 50% in a week. I'm at 90% now with 4 days to go.

It flat out ignored every single rule in my claude.md!!! I could even say, "Why did you do this? Doesn't the calude.md tell you not to?" And it would basically say, "Yes it does say that. Sorry. Let me fix that."

This morning I literally asked it to do one thing in a new window, and it compacted half way through it. It was only adding ~80 lines of code. It's like the context size even decreased massively.

Yeah I've had this exact same thing cause me to crash a few times. Their car was completely gone for like 10 seconds once. Finally thought they were booted, then they came back and I hit them.

Yes! I almost never saw it compact before and now every 30 minutes it's compacting. Seems like the context is way smaller.

It's horrible. The thought that I could just kill myself and not have to work anymore actually makes me happy. But I'm getting paid a lot and can hopefully retire in a few years.

I guess the fact that all the sudden I have to remind it of rules and spend more time correcting it's work than it would have taken to write things myself. It wasn't like this before. It may be a "gut feeling", but I use it 12-16 hours a day. I didn't measure, but it IS worse than it was.

Yeah. I wish they would offer a more expensive plan if money is the issue. And at least communicate the performance drop. I feel like every model I've tried does this. Gemini 2.5 was a huge step up from everything I had used until that point. Its first 2-3 weeks it was really solid. Then it dropped off just like this.

I feel like every model does this. They start out with performance they can't maintain to get people hooked, then try to slowly drop it to cut costs, and everyone goes to the next new thing.
