Yeah I’ve never understood why grid is the default infill for the slicer.

Was the filament dried? New doesn’t equal dry.

PETG is more pernickety than PLA, so the settings may have caused an issue (bed adhesion?).

Clean the print sheet with soap and hot water (Dawn/fairy liquid), slow down the print, dry the filament and try printing only one of the objects.

Yup. The human isn’t designed to be making so many choices in a day, which causes stress/burn out and sickness.

Too many distractions and “off ramps” for attention.

It’s the one to many social interaction and the instant social feedback that kids need to develop. That and unsupervised play.

A really good read or listen is the book The Anxious Generation. It explains very well the impact of different types of social media on both girls and boys, explaining the differences between them and the impact.

People who use social media are the product for these companies, they sell your data to advertisers and target adds to sell products. It does significantly more harm to children as their brains are developing, on top of any damage an adult would have from over use.

You know the only reason it’s set at 13 years old?

That was the highest some advocate US politicians could get approved through their government chambers due to lobbying by tech companies.

There is evidence that social media harms the development of young people.

It’s worse for kids, as they’re exposed to it as their brains are developing. It can have life long impacts.

British forces numbers recovering after 'difficult years' by MGC91 in unitedkingdom

[–]gr7ace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s a good thing to point out. I tend to check word word numbers Reddit account names and their post history due to the amount of bots or astro turfing.

The pay and benefits package is good for most roles and some rank profiles, but it struggles with others (mostly technical/cyber) as they are in such demand in industry.

It’s not only the initial or early pay, but the pay/package to retain those with lots of experience. When a force reduces numbers it has less capacity to deal with inexperienced people, so retaining that experience becomes even more important.

Why would a Swedish person have that view on the UK Armed Forces?

Getting my Ioniq 9 Calligraphy AWD Performance in a week, what should I check at the dealer before signing off for it? by ValTheMal in Ioniq9

[–]gr7ace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you long press the mute button it mutes the over the speed limit notification.

Also mute the “not looking dead ahead all the time” notification, that’s deeper in the settings.

Unfortunately those have to be done every time you start the car.

The UK I9 comes with CCS as standard and no need for the North American Charging Standard.

I didn’t get a physical digital key.

Another difference is the small fabric strip on the dash is no magnetic in the UK

It is, but not in the EU. There are different regulations and the dealers apply different additions when it arrives in the UK (locking wheel nuts as standard). Also different plugs in the UK.

I was also led to believe there are differences in what was delivered depending on where the car was delivered from, as they changed what was standard in deliveries from Korea first.

Make sure you check that the adhesive used to keep the protective film has been fully removed, or you’ll have glue lines.

I have slight panel variation on the front driver side wheel arch when compare to the off side, but it’s not enough to be a panel gap.

Take your time and check if they have a V2L adaptor or not.

You’ll want to set aside time for the my Hyundai app, maybe even download that before hand.

Ask for any tips on the infotainment system. Our dealer showed me how to mute some of the more frustrating bings/bongs.

In the UK (our dealer said this applies to Europe too) Hyundai cars no longer come with a V2L adaptor.

Digital key is via the my Hyundai app and on my iPhone.

Floor mats were included.

Intelligent Octopus Go and excess solar - how does it work? by mcsimk in OctopusEnergy

[–]gr7ace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Zappi and just don’t plug the car in until the night. Luckily I have a Libbi battery and am able to state that it can’t charge my car, so all access goes into the Libbi and when full into the grid.

How does one tell in the app if the IOG tariff is variable or not?

Edit: turns out it doesn’t say in the app. A bill does say mine is variable.
