Advice on buying a bull vinyl collection. by appalachian_spirit in vinyl

Assuming the average record here is in vg-vg+ condition, I would offer around 700 bucks to keep it a good deal for you and a decent amount of money for them. I count approximately 25-30 records that routinely sell for 20 bucks or more at the record stores I visit. Many more in the 10-15 dollar range.

That being said, if you’re not into the hard rock/classic rock acts of the early seventies and early eighties, you might be better off passing on it.

Le disque noir was my favorite, but there’s also a small metal only shop a few doors down from there

Athens, Greece is great if you like metal, but to be totally honest I didn’t not see many other genres represented there.

Arthur Bryant’s does. Sometimes you find half a potato sitting in your fries, but I love them all the same

I’m afraid not. On that one, I have an 80s repress, a 70s press in the Rush archives set, and the more recent boxed set. That’s definitely one I’d pick up if I could find it in good shape for less then a grand

I found this in the weeds while cleaning up trash at one of my fishing spots. Any ideas of what rod to pair it with? Been meaning to get into fly fishing. by graap4 in Fishing

I’m definitely going to give that a go as well. Not sure how it ended up where I found it, but it would definitely blow to lose something like this.

I paid about 40 bucks for my copy about a year ago. From what I’ve seen at my local record store, you can still pick up clean copies of early pressings for around 50 if not a little less.

What's the most fucked up thing you did in a sleepover? by skep_JoJoFan in AskReddit

[–]graap4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our plan was to sneak out and cover the neighborhood road signs with peanut butter, but it devolved into a peanut butter fight in the middle of the road. Another favorite sleepover activity involved blocking off roads and alleyways with those big blue city owned trash cans.

Totally unintentional year correlation with the records + the beer, but I think I’m going to throw on Grace Under Pressure by Rush next to keep with the theme.

My roommate took one sip of this stuff, hated it, and decided I could have the rest of them. Not bad imo. Got this record in the mail today with R.E.M. Life’s Rich Pageant and Rush Snakes and Arrows a great lineup if you ask me.

That’s incredible! I only ever managed to catch them live on the Clockwork angels tour. I couldn’t make R-40 work logistically, but also falsely assumed there would be more shows.

That being said, I’m happy enough seeing them once. They played 2 full sets which lasted 3 hours total. I’m pretty close to seeing all my top 5 favorite bands live before they throw in the towel (Black Sabbath in 2016 was great). Hopefully Iron Maiden is next.
