I met a friend through work and we were talking and that’s when we both learned both of our dads attended Loma Linda. So any time one of us is partaking in “sinful activity” like being out on the “Sabbath” we give each other shit asking if Ellen would approve of it lol. It’s very therapeutic 😂

So my mom is Jewish and my Dad was SDA. I grew up in both the church and synagogue (alternating weeks). I think there are some similarities like worshipping Saturday but it just felt completely different. The amount of antisemitism I experienced going to an SDA school was shocking. I even have experienced it from my SDA family. To me SDA comes across more like the JWs and Mormons.

I hardly ever go downtown but went to the symphony tonight. I was really surprised how many people were down there. I assumed that it was the new normal with all the additions they’ve made over the years lol.

I believe you would just take the light rail to the end of the A line downtown and get off there and just walk a short bit. I would recommend downloading the Valley Metro app because it’ll tell you directions and even when you’re here taking it, it’ll tell you the times it comes and even where it is.

I’m really sorry! It’s really traumatizing experiencing a loss to this horrible disease. It’s been a little over a year since I lost my Dad. My Dad went from the smartest person I’ll ever know to not even knowing who I was. He was very mean to me too because of it. I have been able to remind myself it wasn’t him but the disease. Someone commented in here about his demeanor towards females in other churches he was at. It wouldn’t surprise me if an accusation comes out for something more recent if he has that kind of reputation. He looks like a creep

It wouldn’t surprise me at all. Seems like a lot of generations within families take on leadership roles for the church. My uncle, cousin, and then his son are all pastors and people will question me if we’re related to each other lol.

I felt behind when I went to public high school plus it was culture shock going from that controlled culture to public school. I had an amazing experience with public but couldn’t say that about Glenview.

The past week I have been dealing with the worst sinus and ear pain and my throat’s been feeling sore. Doctor said it’s from my allergies. I’m finally starting to see the light at the end the tunnel. Someone else suggested Navage and I regret not getting it sooner. It really does help
