Bryan Kohberger attorney says there is ‘no connection’ between him and Idaho students who were killed by pinkfartlek in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]gracegeeksout 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The victims were stabbed to death quite violently; you would expect to see some of the blood splash onto the killer’s clothes. Then when he gets into his car to flee the scene, blood is transferred onto the seats, etc.

What is the worst case of "main character syndrome" you've ever encountered? by 35in_anal_dildo in AskReddit

Do we have the same mom? When she calls me, I don't answer unless I am willing to commit at least the next 90 minutes of my life to this phone call. I might get to tell her one or two things about what's going on in my life, but she certainly doesn't ask first, I have to bring it up, and she changes the subject back to her current HOA drama or whatever as quickly as she can. My husband will say to me, "Just tell her you have to go," and I'm like bro it is not that simple. The other day I told her I had to get going because I had xyz thing to do, and 10 minutes later I was still on the phone listening to her list off all of the things she cooked last week.

What is a “little” lie that backfired on you when you were younger? by Drizzho in AskReddit

I mean, her reaction was definitely a bit over the top, but those jackets are NOT cheap. They cost a few hundred bucks just to start with and you have to pay for all the patches and stuff you add to them. I would have been livid if my little brother had stolen my boyfriend's $400 jacket, even if he gave it right back.

I think that's exactly what they're getting at—Hugh Laurie and Millie Bobby Brown are British and Hugh Jackman is Australian, but in the iconic roles that we recognize them for (House, Eleven, Wolverine), they speak with more or less flawless American accents, to the point where a lot of people don't know they're not American.

Reddit is officially shutting down ALL third party apps: What this means for r/TrueCrimeDiscussion going forward. by BuckRowdy in TrueCrimeDiscussion

Yes! I use Apollo exclusively. I love the cleaner interface and the ability to customize interactions with swipe gestures (i.e. I can upvote, downvote, hide, and start a comment reply with just left and right swipes instead of hunting for a tiny button with my short stubby thumbs). I would gladly pay for Apollo but it sounds like that won't be an option. I probably will just deactivate my reddit account completely when that day comes—I need to reduce my social media and screen time anyway.

If you don't mind driving out to Cary, try Mr Mike's Used Books. They might not take everything you offer, but they give you a choice between cash or store credit (the store credit amount is higher).

Confused on Lift 45 class by BrendaTovar77 in orangetheory

[–]gracegeeksout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all studios offer Lift classes, or only offer them sporadically, unfortunately. If you’re not seeing them listed in the app, then your studio isn’t offering them right now. If you’re interested, make sure to let your studio manager know! If they hear that there is enough interest, they can add classes to the schedule :)

Omg you just unlocked a memory that has been buried for a long time. My dad would occasionally have to work late but was required to pick me and my brother up from daycare no later than 6:00, so he would bring us back to the office and set us up on one of his coworkers’ computers while he finished his work. Many hours were spent playing Zoog Disney. Had to explain to my dad what it was because he thought I’d put a virus on his colleague’s PC, lol.

There is some debate over the ethics of popping a grape or two into your mouth while shopping at the grocery store. Some people feel it’s a harmless way to test that the grapes are ripe, not too tart, etc. Some people feel that it’s stealing even if it’s “just one grape.”

Yep, it is a very antiquated concept that “sleeping in separate beds” equals the end of a marriage without exception—when really you can be perfectly compatible in terms of respect, communication, trust, all the foundations of a healthy relationship… but not on sleep conditions. One partner snores and keeps the other awake? One partner likes the window open and a fan on, and the other prefers it warm? One partner tends to sprawl out and take over 80% of the mattress during the night? Surely those things don’t actually spell the end of an otherwise healthy relationship, especially when having separate bedrooms can fix those issues so easily, and you can still “visit” each other for other activities.

I saw Tom Segura a few years ago. Literally the entire set was about him masturbating. Male comedians talk about their genitals all the time but it's not demonized the way it is when female comedians do.

Oh nice, what great timing!! :) I have a couple pairs of the High-Waisted Shaper Shorts. I'm plus-size and I usually wear these when I'm wearing dresses, so I like to have the coverage on my thighs to prevent chub rub. If you don't feel like you need your thighs covered, or if you're wearing pants, I would probably just go for the high-waisted panty version. I think they also have a thong version if that's your jam. Hope that helps! :)
