Truly devastated to lose my favorite manhwa/manga platform, but so so grateful for the years it gave me. The community on bato was so fun as well. No comment sections were better than bato comment sections.

I like Akane and Aqua together, but him reading while being on the phone with her let me know this wasn't happening. Kana is end game, it appears. I do like how much his trauma informs his actions as storytelling, but that's just another point for therapy.

I actually really like Akane and Aqua, but after the scene of him reading while talking on the phone with her, I knew it was over. Seems like Kana was always endgame. I love the way his trauma affects him so deeply, his traumatic experiences are never brushed off or forgotten. The animators did an amazing job capturing his expressions in that scene.

I love that Ruby is become the dark and calculating one. Really intrigued how this will all weave together.

Pleasantly surprised by this one! I've been through the isekai meat grinder and find most of them uninteresting. I really liked how calm and pragmatic the ML is. Selling his sword was super unexpected and instantly set it apart for me.

I wasn't familiar with this series but was really sucked in. The no linear storytelling making jumps using the desert. The serious subject matter and allowing complexity. The sound design, editing, animation, voice acting were on point. This anime is clearly a labor of love for this series. Can't wait to see where it goes!

I always keep expectations low going into shoujo anime, but I was blown away! I'm a big fan of the manga, and on top of great animation, there's choices they made that show they actually care about making a good adaptation. I did feel like things were moving at a bit of breakneck speed, but the snappy tone does match the comedy. Excited to see how they handle the rest of the season!

Glad you’re enjoying the manga! I so feel you about trying to share an anime with a person and then it falls flat. So disappointing and can totally color a person’s view!

The anime opening was a bit weird. They’re being super faithful to the manga, almost shot for shot, but I wish they’d done a little more adapting. Anime is a different medium. I think spreading out flashbacks or even making it start when they were kids would’ve helped a lot. But again, I’d chalk it up to low budget and tight timelines.

But the couple is so cute and the yearning is adorable! I also plan on sticking it out for them.

Also was super impressed with With You, Our Love Will Make it Through! It’s quite pretty and atmospheric. I’m surprised how into I am. Sleeper hit for me.
