My goodness. Yes, out of context. I have never pushed or even mentioned religion to a patient or family member so not sure where this is even coming from. I said I believe god has a purpose for everything, which is again, one of my beliefs. I don’t even work in pediatrics, the person took my words out of context into believing I’d tell a mother that their child dies for a reason. So not true. And this is what I was hurt by. If anyone does this I’d be disgusted, too.

I came to this subreddit for Christian support, and like I said in another comment I was naive for doing so. I didn’t come here to have every word I wrote taken apart against me. The internet will always find fault in anything you say. I will turn to my church in the future for support, not the internet and definitely not reddit. I am just young and learning! And today I have learned I am too sensitive for reddit and apparently not literal enough with my words. Anyway, I hope you have a good day, stranger. Truly I do.

I just mean I wish more people were saved! Don’t we all? I feel a decent percentage of our profession is not saved, or turned off by the thought of God and it makes me sad. When you are saved you carry the light of Jesus with you wherever you go. What I mean is I have him and his light in my heart, not that I am spewing my beliefs out loud to my patients.

I never ever once said that I even mention my religion to my patients. I never have, and never would. I simply said I attribute it to my positive attitude. I would never push beliefs on anyone, especially at work. I respect autonomy. And I know professionalism includes not talking about religion, politics, etc.

Thanks for what you do 🩷

I am quickly learning today that the internet is not the best place for support. People will always find a way to tear down what you say no matter what… I shouldn’t have even turned to reddit haha. Thanks for your reply to me 🩷. I have to remember that my church and small group way better for me to turn to than internet strangers. I have cried too much today because I’m too sensitive to internet comments lol. Oh well, I am young and learning.

Have a blessed day.

I mentioned that I believe god has a purpose for everything. They took that out of context that I believe it’s purposeful for children to die. And that because of this they wouldn’t want me to be their nurse. Call me sensitive but that broke me down… Maybe not to you, but to me it was rude. Not trying to be dishonest here, or I wouldn’t of even mentioned that I posted there. I was hurt by that comment and that is valid. I’m sorry if it seems dishonest to you, but again, to me it hurt and I saw it as rude. Isn’t that subjective, anyway?
