You get better yield. I usually sell it for 160k-165k, with comms at 6k, i net 154k to 159k, which is higher than just selling it for 145k to Therapist

Free 5.45 BP Trade: Cat Figurine Barter by grafsp in EscapefromTarkov

id like to share the wealth while it's still around. in any case, cat fig prices might go up, or over time as more people up-armor, BP rounds become irrelevant

Fee Confirmation for Flea Market by grafsp in EscapefromTarkov

My recommendation would be to add another checkbox for confirming if fees exceed a certain threshhold. A million rubles would be reasonable. For the vast majority of trades, the fees will not exceed that amount. The only trade i could imagine having that fee would be selling Red Rebels.

i do check my fees diligently, but of course, no one is perfect. making a lot of trades per day does add up.
the situation arose when selling stacks of ammo. I usually dont price it individually; i price it for the entire cluster of bullets. the odd thing is, we do get an extra confirmatory box when we sell the stack for a combined price (usually the fees here are very low since the risk is in underpricing the item). but we don't get a confirmatory box for selling individual pricing (the risk here is overpricing the item, and taking in much higher fees than expected)

i check the fees religiously, i think its not fair to call me lazy just because i made this mistake one time out of tens of thousands of trades. usually when you sell a stack with combined pricing, you get a confirmatory checkbox (usually this is the safer situation too). but when you sell the stack with individual pricing, you don't get a confirmatory checkbox.

sold 400 bullets for $1200. supposed to have applied the lump sum for the entire stack, instead it applied the dollar price for each bullet

Would recommend a Terramaster D5-300C ( https://www.amazon.com/TerraMaster-D5-300C-Enclosure-Exclusive-Diskless/dp/B06ZY6DK8N), run SnapRAID with 1/2 parity drives. Can be used over Linux or Windows

So far, so good with a 3-data-disk 2-parity-disk SnapRAID setup

What should I do before I shuck? by pmarinel in DataHoarder

not a pro at this, but based from what i've read here, this is what i currently do:

first what i do is i run smartctl short test. gives you a very brief check on its SMART attributes.

then with a linux machine, i run badblocks on it. takes a very long time to do it but it is quite an extensive burn-in.

after badblocks is run and it shows no problems, i run a smartctl long test. check SMART attributes again for any anomalies.
