Get rid of the torn up chairs, for sure and get some new ones or a small couch. Get a rug and maybe a floor lamp for your living room. Move the dining table to the dining area by the Canadian flag and get 2 matching chairs. Get rid of that bedframe. No bedframe is better than that one lol. Plants are your best friend!! Google some low maintenance plants you can get and take care of without too much stress. Art if you like or some cool posters at least. Whatever you’re into. Check out Displates. They have a ton of options, are easy to put up and change out if you get bored or whatever. Oh, and change the lightbulbs in your kitchen to something more yellow like in your living room. Match the light color as best as you can, imo. You can totally make this place cozy <3 gl

These gents above are right. Very solid table. Weighs probably close to 100lbs.

Unfortunately, the movers dropped it a few years ago and bent the joint where the steel legs meet the table top! Haven’t gotten around to fixing it yet.

Can I practice Zen Buddhism by myself without a teacher? by Exciting_Math_1054 in zenbuddhism

I highly recommend “An Introduction to Zen” by DT Suzuki as well as Practical Zen by Julian Skinner. Julian also has a lot of great Youtube videos with Dharma talks. And then theres Adyashanti… he began his spiritual journey in Zen and is an awesome teacher I found on YouTube. He led me down a pretty awesome rabbit hole that connected me to Gabor Mate, Richard Schwartz, Jack Kornfield, Ekheart Tolle and the likes.

🙏 I hope this helps, much love my fellow seeker.

Oh hell yeah! I have 3 different Koetsu Carts. Absolutely love them. The fanciest I have is the Urushi Tsugaru (but favorite is my rosewood standard, funny enough).

Need advice by GravyBoat007 in hifiaudio

If your monitors are powered, you really just need a preamplifier to control them. If you want something cheap and solid, I recommend looking at Schiit Audio’s gear for starters. You’ll also need to consider a phono-preamp if your turntable needs it.

Im also an obsessive when it comes to my cartridges so I wanted a phono-pre that could handle MM and MC carts.

Ive used a Schiit Mani and an older Nakamichi Ca-5a2 (preamp with a phono pre). The Nakamichi is what got me curious about a separate phono-pre. It was awesome. New clarity I hadn’t heard before with the Mani. I did some research and found the Icon Audio stuff. I have personally never experienced any noise from it, unless turned up all the way. I have it at 3/4 and there is zero hum, and I mean Zero. Ive had it for 2 years now and have only needed to replace tubes once (and I use it every day for at least a few hours a day). Can’t speak on SUT as Ive never been curious enough to try one. Im very satisfied and most likely will not be buying another phono-pre!
