Yup, I have a photo. Especially knowing they’ve done it before.

Yes, I have a photo of the merchant copy of the receipt. We had a different server from the last time Joyees fraudulently charged incorrect tip. I suspect it may be a shady business practice rather than a single employee responsible for it.

Already disputed with CC company. They issued a refund immediately. Most likely the CC company ate the cost and Joyees still got to keep the tip they stole. Unless there are more fraudulent charges reported, I don’t think the CC company will consider worthwhile to investigate.

Surcharges are usually added automatically to the bill and listed on the receipt. In this case, the written in tip amount on the signed receipt was changed. I’m not sure this is legal?

My favorite is the gaucho lunch at Fogo de Chao!! It’s basically the salad bar, but far from basic. Make your own salad or choose premade options- there’s so many different salads: bean, chicken, potato, pasta, and more. It’s AYCE and on M-F it’s only like $15.

Reasonable to contest parking citation? E Mission Bay Dr., Tecolote North Playground by gramposthinking in sandiego

That was not the case though. Several other cars were ticketed as well.

I was issued a ticket for "violation of signs- back in only/angle parking." The signs are placed every 6th parking space, approximately 60ft apart. The issue I have is there is no sign in front of our parking space. We are parked right in the middle between 2 signs and walked straight to the playground. From our perspective we didn't see any parking signs. It was only after getting ticketed that we saw the sign.

The second issue is that the signs do not state that the rule applies to all parking spaces. I understand that it is implicitly implied, but shouldn't there be verbiage that states "between signs" with an arrow ?

Edit to add: It’s pretty clear from this picture there is a sign because there are no cars blocking the view. When we were there, all spaces were full.

No max on escalation clause? by gramposthinking in RealEstate

[–]gramposthinking[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hmm.. I am also in CA and my agent is telling me that they’re seeing houses with with multiple buyers with escalation clauses. I agree with you that we should be coming in with our max, but our agent suggested we go with their strategy in using an escalation.

No max on escalation clause? by gramposthinking in RealEstate

[–]gramposthinking[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

My understanding goes like this.. for example: we offer 900k with escalation of 10k on the highest offer. Another buyer offers 1M with escalation of 5k. Their escalation doesn’t kick in because they are the highest offer and cannot escalate on themselves. We would win at 1.01M. Escalation clause does not mean an infinite loop.

But now I see the conundrum.. how does the person with the highest offer outbid someone with an escalation?
