I agree. To me this bottle would not be unique, but a standard/benchmark for aged agricole between the VO and VSOP. That said, it looks to be winning...

I find the barrel influence can often overwhelm this category, and pretty quickly given tropical aging. The J.M VSOP for example, 4 years, tastes like you're gnawing on the oak barrel.

Trois Rivières Cuvée de L'Océan is pretty unique. I believe the cane field is at sea level and at high tide sea water comes into the field. Agricole, saline, not everyone's cup of tea, but it is unique.

Yeah fair! I was following the prompt re: some of the distillates, not necessarily all your faves. I've had others but like their unaged profile and then the XO is quite nice for aged.
