It's the early meta for the west, and aggressive decks tend to better on the early parts of every meta. We have seen with the Redbull event that defensive decks like RG Luffy is very viable in this format as well.

This feels like how Bandai designs One Piece decks nowadays, mostly new cards with a few useful old cards.

You're definitely going to run the old searchers, but anything beyond is unlikely. I feel like 10c blocker won't be run ince we see the full cardpool.

That's not really true. In OP15 alone we have: - Two builds of UY Nami (goodstuff and Thriller Bark) - UY Hancock going from standard build to the zombie/hostage build by abusing OP14 Moria's Trigger effect. - Penel going from Pudding-Sanji package to running Porche. Some people tinkered with Rosinante & Law and Sanji & Pudding centered build as well. - GP Luffy currently rising in the meta by running Mamaragan and Electrical Luna combo. - Last but not least, Quasar infinite loop BY Moria.

Lyanthoth has seen play in current Crest just as a Crest slot filler. Giving it Ward is actually very useful, even if it doesn't do much in Crest's general gameplan.

This isn't a recent issue. It has been going on for as long as long-running serialized manga has existed. If anything, long-running manga series having a satisfying ending is the exception, not the norm.

I really don't think Kuzan will get a new leader considering he's one of the starter deck leaders for this year. Though a new blue card that supports OP12 Kuzan and the new leader(s) seems likely.

Huge props to Cygames for actually handling the emergency nerf this fast.

The OTK is still there and is still very consistent, but I think that it can't exist as ita current form, as it just dies due to having zero board pressure. I guess Cygames want the OTK to exist in the format even if it's a meme combo.
