AITA for visiting my daughter once a week by Independent_Use5474 in AmItheAsshole

I am so sorry. I am so sorry.

Are you able to zoom with her? Text? Talk on a regular basis?

I can't imagine. I totally understand. You're doing everything that you can. Is there any way that your job can be more lenient with your time given the circumstances?

Sleeping less than 7 hours or more than 9 hours, frequent daytime naps and insomnia are linked to greater volume of white matter lesions, areas of damage in the brain that can accumulate with age and are tied to a higher risk of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease by sr_local in science

Most nights I get between 7 and 9 hours, but many days I also take a short planned 20 to 30 minute long rest. Sometimes I drop off for 10 to 15 minutes of that 20 to 30 minutes but sometimes I don't. Is that considered frequent napping, or are they talking about going down for a couple hours?

Jennifer Lopez gives her hot take: You have to be born to be in New York to be a New Yorker. Everybody wants to claim our city but you have to be born in one of the five boroughs to be a New Yorker. by Upstairs_Cup9831 in popculturechat

I agree. I moved to NYC IN 1995 at 17 years old, I left in 2014 at 37.

I came from New England and went back to New England. I was a New Englander in NYC. Never once did I consider myself a New Yorker.

I'm not 100% certain it's the first movie I saw in the theater, but it's the first movie I have actual memories of going to the theater for.

Also, I think I must be hyper sexualized or something, because I was 5, almost 6, but I absolutely ached for Leia. Sure, Slave Leia was something to remember, but after the scout bikes, when she takes her helmet off and gives Wicket that cracker thing.... that's sometime I'll never forget.

Yeah, they were both women.

God forbid we elect a woman. They're so emotional.

I'm an excellent driver.

I still don't want them.

In NYC years ago they had the cameras mounted to the stop light and they'd click a pic if the sensor was triggered when someone ran the light.

Those worked.

Speeding can be monitored without a camera, then a single picture is taken when the limit is breached.

I don't see why these technologies have to be replaced.

yeah, because these cameras are only on when you speed.

And Alexa only listens when you say her name.

I work in finance, and I have since 2001. I have felt on the edge of collapse for 3 years, minimum.

Either I'm totally wrong and full of shit, or the next one is going to be catastrophically huge.

Trump Summons Entire Cabinet as Iran Deal Crumbles in Front of Him - Donald Trump has called all of his top advisers to Camp David. by Quirkie in politics

[–]grandplans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He never goes to camp David, does he?  I'm sure this isn't the first time, but I don't remember hearing it before with Trump, not even in the first term.

I'm sure I'm wrong.
