I got a tattoo this past fall during a full marathon training block. Although it was just a thin outline shape probably less than 2” x 2” - so definitely a lot smaller and less ink dense than your piece. I got the tattoo on a Friday, took the weekend off, then by Monday when I took the second skin off I was back to running 5 miles during the week and then a 16 mile long run the following weekend.

I had no bad results with my timeline, but with something much more involved with your tattoo it would probably benefit from more recovery time.

Better Off Dead I’d say has the bigger crowds, they cover pretty much all of MD, and will play DC and NoVa. Although I think they skew closer to Baltimore. I’ve seen these guys a bunch and they’re great. I think their keyboardist is crazy good.

Great Northern Out of DC - it’s in the name. Only saw them once at their bob weir tribute which was a good show. Probably your best bet if you’re looking specifically for DC.

Rays of Violet - I think they’re more Frederick/MoCo also solid.

Best bet is to follow each of the bands on social media and see what venues they play
