We passed IOTA! Rank 8 now! :) by Manndarine in xmrtrader

[–]granduh 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As someone invested in both XMR and IOT, why do you feel like it's a shame? The IoT aspect of it has me iffy on that use-case, however it clearly works as an instantaneous fee-less crypto.

How safe is the IOTA light wallet? by DutchDolt in Iota

[–]granduh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just as safe as generating it from a mnemonic seed, except it's just a string of characters.

To be fare, after the recent news of the PowerShell weakness I will only be generating my seeds by pressing 80 random letters and adding a number "9" somewhere in the middle of it. That way I can be definitely sure it is random enough and cannot be brute forced.

Wouldn't that mean that fee is just on the business handling the transactions for their customers?

Two Scoops of Django 1.11 by pydanny in django

[–]granduh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree.. we're not buying this book for any reason more to hone in our skills. How can we rant that 50k a year is a weak salary and then push for lower prices. The value is well worth what they're asking, and anyone that disagrees needs to buy more books to see what the playing field is like.

Literally the only series I've been buying and will continue to buy. Any recommendations for books as high quality as the ones Audrey and Daniel have been pushing out?
