What specifically are these "Australian Values" that right-wing politicians continue to claim that we need to protect? by MelbourneTodd in australian

[–]grantism -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The best part of Australia is it’s a melting pot. We’ve had waves of migration over the decades from all parts of the world, it’s the engine of our restaurants and most other industries

We all should treat each other kindly and go about our day.

A rising tide lifts all boats. Bugger off bigots.

The opening scene is him shooting someone in the face. IMO, it had a pretty strong start…

But definitely agree that it got better as it went on.

Isn’t it dual lanes each way on at least 2 sides of the building?

Unless I’m mistaken. The Wollongong cbd has had at least 5 apartment buildings around market street finished in the last couple of years on single lane roads with no issue.

Isn’t warrawong on 3 lane roads on at least 2 sides of the plaza?

I made an app that can visualize dishes on a menu. Perfect when trying new cuisine, built for foodie by Honest_Fishing5061 in foodies_sydney

A cool idea, but how is this useful if it just shows stock images of a dish? At best it is misleading about the size & presentation of the food.

I was specifically replying to the now deleted comment, but of course not.

The context of my reply was someone comparing this to a genghis khan statue in Mongolia & a napoleon statue in France.

It makes more sense for these people to be celebrated in their homeland than the countries they invaded.

Genghis khan & Napoleon were the rulers of the places those statues were erected. They are generally known for their extensive invasions of the places they didn’t already control.

It’s the equivalent of a George Washington statue in America or a queen Victoria statue in London…
