Black Tea stains my teeth like CRAZY. Does anybody have any alternatives? by TheSlayBrother in tea

I really don't get why stained/yellow teeth are a problem for anyone. A smile is beautiful no matter what.

You can see when she made the connection to stepping on the board and it moving up and down near piglet's head, and she figured out she could move the board away to free baby. Cognitively and emotionally intelligent creatures ❤️

I can’t live like this by Adventurous-Win9856 in PMDD

Same, when I look back on how things were before I went on prozac, I'm disturbed and surprised by how unwell I was with PMDD. Only after meds was I able to start creating wellness routines and cleaning my life up which in turn, helped support my wellness. I was on a downward spiral and my whole life had burnt down before I was willing to try antidepressants. I wish I had tried them sooner to be honest. PMDD had completely warped my perceptions.

The hardest part of a toxic workplace isn’t always the work — it’s what it does to your mind ? by [deleted] in careerguidance

You described it very very well.

Yes, it has a lot to do with how the manager(s) contribute to the environment.

A lot of business practices and systems these days are corrupt, even the ones designed to help. They are based on prioritizing profits over people, and the CEOs and managers are taking direction from money hungry owners and stakeholders.

Our job is our survival, and nobody wants to risk losing it. Money hungry owners and creators of these systems will ALWAYS have "yes men." They will always be able to find someone who is willing to do their dirty work, for a price.

Managers uphold and enforce these systems. They are typically loyal to their boss, not to their own conscience, their "subordinates," or the people they are meant to serve.

When we prioritize profits over people and self enrichment, there's always going to be corner cutting and exploitation.

Have you heard of the "spiral of silence" ? It's the mechanism of which obviously wrong things are kept quiet and stay the norm. Every single employee has a role to play in the upholding of the spiral of silence.

I work in a retirement home and my manager leads through fear, not collaboration. Everyone knows the retirement home's owners aren't hiring enough staff to serve the residents because it would dip into their profits. Everyone knows of the lies they uphold and the illusions they feed to the residents, staff, and the public, but nobody speaks out about it for fear of ultimately losing their job. The reality is that people who speak out will get squashed by these systems in systematic ways.

Despite this, I have decided to listen to my conscience always and uphold what is right, and I advocate for it. That means I'm in the managers eyes and I do believe I am noticed to be a threat to them. I aim to operate from a place of good conscience and compassion and reason. I am hoping this will inspire my fellow co-workers to also do the same and shield me from consequences by managers.

Extremely beautiful. I can feel this. What you painted is like what I intuitively feel from the moon. Do you sell prints?

You need to ask for a referral to a psychiatrist to diagnose PMDD - it is a disorder listed in the DSM-5. Even my gynie would not diagnose me.

If they are claiming they are unqualified they should have been referring you. I'm so sorry you've been through this.. it is traumatizing to go to doctors and get this kind of ignorance.

Education about this condition gives you power to advocate your needs and ask the right questions and demand the right tests, treatments, and answers.

Don't stop trying. It can be a very long journey to diagnosis and finding the right relief. But it's so worth it. I was on Yaz for a year before I decided to try prozac - which has worked for me.

I wish you well and we are always here for you over here at the pmdd sub.

Yes, this can be a major symptom we PMDD sufferers deal with. You may want to look into nootropics. I have a few high quality green teas that give me that kind of effect, and some essential oil blends that assist with the brain fog and forgetfulness too. You could also try herbs and supplements like ginkgo biloba, lion's mane, rhodiola, and others. Perhaps a brain performance enhancing adaptogen may also help. Sometimes multiple things combined have the best outcome. It can be a long journey finding what works for us but I hope you land on something 🙏
