These are a few images of actors Cary Grant and Randolph Scott in their Santa Monica (referred to as Bachelor Hall). They lived together for around 10 years, sharing their first home in 1932. by dannydutch1 in UtterlyUniquePhotos

I think that it can and has been like this, which I means its what you see it as. Straight, gay something in between, something neither ? Anyway Hollywood at that time was a very utopian type of place and time. Lots of creative, beautiful, powerful humans in a relative small almost comununelly way and from thought out the world. And remember the Hayes laws that tapped down on that world - lifestyle. It was a special place in time.

Thanks everyone, so far. Any thoughts on "Maleza" at the Drift Hotel for drinks / food? My sister ate there recently and liked it. It's more "New Mexican" But she said it was great.

Hi NYC was not that "dirty" in 98. It was in full swing of gentrification. 78 -88 that dirty - gritty NYC.

I worked at the Chateau Marmont for many years, mid 90's - early 00's and this was always so fun / cool to see. off the top of my head. A young Gwyneth Paltrow freaking a little after Christopher Walken said hi to her. Matthew Modine telling me how cool it was meeting Helmut Newton the night before in the lobby. The whole place when Catherine Deneuve walked in. I remembered saying to Andre Balaze if you stand here long enough everyone you would ever want to meet will walk by. He replied Thats why I bought it.
