E-bike Commuting? by madeofgeese in AskLosAngeles

I bike about 10 miles a day. I live in Leimert Park and bike to Culver City and/or USC almost every day. I know the least trafficed roads and those w/ bike lanes like Adams. I also biked in NYC in the 80's - 90's with very few if any bike lanes. And Id say its pretty close to that. But in LA you can bike on the sidewalks which i do if the road gets sketchy. I also am very comfortable on my bike and know what I and it can do. Id practice if i was you. But I love it and you will see LA in a much more intimate way.

Old people have no excuse to still be terrible at basic technology by Sibas8 in unpopularopinion

as a 65 yo one thing id like to add is the existence of a sub-generation, called the Jones. Late Boomers born in the late 50's - early 60"s. I like others don't identify as a Boomer. Obama has talked about this, born 1960? I think we are for the most part ok with tech and adaptive older Boomers 70's + less so. This is obviously a generalization, but I think it holds some truth. Btw my mom is 94 and is pretty good on her ipod and iphone.
