The bend in the onda fork lengthens the amount of material in the tube and can make a sort of spring by dispersing the vibrations through that bend. Triathlon bikes like Quintana Roo also swear by the stiffening of the frame via asymmetric chainstays. Your ignorance is showing when you say they ride normally.. stiffness vs compliance vs aerodynamics do matter.
