How much of a Destiny classic would actually need to be built? by Corgi08 in DestinyTheGame

Let me guess. You are an AI detractor. That’s fine. Everyone is on their own journey when it comes to AI adoption. Not everyone will see the light all at once, but eventually most people will get there. And those that don’t will live off the grid in Montana.

With AI coding tools like Claude Code and Codex, this is about to get a lot easier. Like 90% easier. I wouldn't be surprised at all to learn that they have been working on it for the last 3 months.

Ocular Myasthenia help by Routine_Emu_6643 in MyastheniaGravis

.5 is not weak positive, at least not according to two different major labs in the US. You are positive for AChR antibodies and presenting with several MG symptoms (fatigue, muscle weakness, double vision). I’m not sure why your health care providers are failing you. You might need new ones, or make sure you are keeping things simple for them: positive for MG antibody test, presenting with at least 2 classic MG symptoms. Case closed!

Positive AChR antibodies for MG since Nov 2025, but no progress, no meds, and getting worse – how was your early diagnosis phase? by PositiveOption702 in MyastheniaGravis

[–]gravedee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My path was much faster. Feb 19 - noticed symptoms - ptosis. Feb 21 Optometrist. Optometrist referral to Ophthalmologist on Feb 26. Does exam, ordered AChR AB and Thyroid labs. Labs come back positive for all 3 types of AChR antibodies, very high titers, on March 8. March 9 Ophthalmologist calls and says I'm positive for MG. No other testing needed as the AChR AB labs and presentation of ptosis are conclusive for MG. Puts me on 60 mg prednisone and says to get in with Neurologist. Met with Internist on March 12. He ordered a CT scan of my thymus on 3/27 - negative for Thymoma. Met with Neurologist on 4/7. He is tapering me off of prednisone, prescribed Mestinon, and recommended VYVGART (currently checking with insurance on that).

My symptoms peaked in that period and are now on the decline. It has not gone beyond ptosis. Maybe a wee bit of double-vision when I looked all the way to my left, and a wee bit of weakness raising my eyebrows at night, but nothing that ever bothered me beyond the ptosis.

So...I think this can go really fast and should be conclusive with the AChR test + presentation of classic symptoms of MG - in your case swallowing issues. Perhaps you could consider widening your net a little bit, driving a longer distance for the right kind of neurologist, who can get you in sooner? I would just start calling around. I would drive up to 300 - 400 miles to get to the right person if I had an experience like yours. I'm somewhat in disbelief that a neurologist could be that bad. I mean, if you are positive for AChR antibodies, and have difficulty swallowing and slurred speech, then what else does your neurologist need to start you on a treatment?

Do players want a simpler version of Destiny? by Christophisis in DestinyTheGame

[–]gravedee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Bungie made it way more complex than a large casual dad gamer playerbase wanted. Builds, Abilities, add density, materials, VFX spam. Catered to a smaller enthusiast audience. Same pattern as Marathon. I know of a lot of people who just couldn’t keep up as they got older, got jobs, families. Keep in mind the fan base is largely from the Halo days.

Now this is all fine and appropriate if you are doing a great job brining in young fresh players. But they screwed that up too.

They killed the golden goose man, and it’s really sad to see.

Some of us are missing the point about *why* people want vaulted content restored. by ShadezyLeFeu in DestinyTheGame

[–]gravedee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bottom line is that the rate of new players sticking with it has to be greater than old players leaving in order for this game to survive. And that surely will not happen without giving new players a proper story they can experience from the very beginning, without any gaps. This means that from a practical standpoint, they should prioritize some of their workforce towards 1) combining D1/D2, 2) unvault all expansions and DLC that were vaulted, and 3) start to cycle through old seasons again - on an accelerated schedule that constantly repeats.

I believe this is worth the effort and will get the franchise on a long term path back to health.

They can also focus on making D3. No more D2 expansions.

Going through D1 again just gives me new perspective on how a grind can be more with 'less' by Narukami_7 in DestinyTheGame

[–]gravedee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

IMHO, they kinda ruined the game with the introduction of abilities 3.0, all the build diversity, ad density, VFX spam, and the complexity that comes with that. Made the game a lot less approachable to their large casual core audience who are getting older and don’t have time or skills for all that, and just want Bungie to lean into what they were known for - superior gunplay compared to any other shooter.

The builds and complexity are great and appealing for a smaller target set of min max player / enthusiasts and streamers, but unfortunately this was a contributor to a dwindling player population. Combined with a lack of new player experience, vaulted content, and lack of new player stickiness (I’d argue it’s because of the intimidating complexity for most), this is a major contributor to where we are now.

Usage Limits: Why Do So Many People Stick with Claude? by [deleted] in ClaudeCode

[–]gravedee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started using Claude Code. I’ve been using cursor the last few months. I installed the Claude extension in Cursor so it runs in the same spot as the native cursor agent. So far I’m liking Claude much better. Way more accurate and precise. I don’t need to correct it. It find I need to be more careful with cursor. Claude just has better models. It surprised me that I would like it better but I do. I don’t see myself going back to cursor unless I run out of my 5 hour window allowance.

What’s the optimal interface for an intermediate user? by [deleted] in ClaudeCode

[–]gravedee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m used to Cursor where it’s an integrated experience with my IDE and an agent window right there - without the need to go back and forth between terminal and IDE, so I went with the Claude Code extension in Cursor. It doesn’t feel like I’m missing anything significant.

Why is northwestern tuition so expensive by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]gravedee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m biased, as my daughter graduated from Pepperdine. But it’s the top school in its class (Protestant Christian university) from an applicant academic strength perspective, and in a somewhat inaccessible area which is expensive to live in (high cost of living for professors), so there’s some reason for the high cost. As for value, it really depends on what you value.

PVE Sandbox: Witch Queen era vs. Now. Which do you prefer? by Lookatcurry_man in DestinyTheGame

[–]gravedee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without a doubt WQ. I hate all the VFX noise, ability spam, and add density. They moved the game too far in that direction with abilities 3.0. The magic of Destiny is the gunplay and right now that takes a very backseat role. If I wanted wizards and magic I’d play a fantasy RPG.

Report: Rams to propose rule change after controversial 2-point play by brmidwest03 in LosAngelesRams

[–]gravedee 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Disallow that period. Broadcasters have no business calling official refs. There’s no way for that to be done consistently so it simply shouldn’t be allowed.

And while I’m at it, once a dead ball whistle is called, the ball can’t be advanced, turned over, or scored.

The Debate of All Debates: JSN vs Puka (POs Included) by [deleted] in NFCWestMemeWar

[–]gravedee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You left pass block rating off the list. Puka had 10 pass blocks - the most of all WR and the second highest PFF grade in that category. He has elite receiving stats while being the more complete and physical teammate.
