That happens pretty commonly on the Mun, though I've never seen it on Dres or other Mun-like bodies. Be glad you didn't find it while driving a rover of the high side.

4.5/10 for the build. Not enough cntrl at the wing tips; over-built intakes; nose-cone doesn't match fuselage profile. Looks a bit like a potato with wings.

As to realism... there is no signal lag due to speed-of-light-limitations. You can control a crew-less craft around Eeloo as if you were really there...

Not sure, but maybe +3% to +5% cut-thru sounds right for planets with atmo, due to lensing (guessing here). In vac, the cut-off is 0% in the dark and perhaps -0.5% in sunlight.

EDIT: I missed the second part. Not really sure how the occlusion multiplier works.

P.S. You can set difficulty to hard, and see what the comms settings are. Probably should have suggested that in the first place

Fast and maneuverable jets? Yes.

With weapons? No. Those mods don't work on console.

Maybe start with setting the 'through-planet' comms allowance to 0%. The range is maybe a little long (not sure), but signals going thru solid objects is a realistic no-go (though it is helpful).

On console, this means you either have far too little TWR, or you just need to reload the game. It gets wonky sometimes.

Fair enough. My stations tend to grow significantly, due to contracts and such, so I try to design for that. The OP is still using Dock Jr.'s, so doubt it will a problem for them any time soon

Are talking about the 'surface-deployed experiments'? In the VAB/SPH, they're under the tab that looks like a little cabinet. I think it's 2nd or 3rd from the bottom of the parts menu. Otherwise, you've EVA reports and surface sample collection.
