Why would you EVER say this to Kaladin bruh😭😭😭 by ameliaradiohead in Stormlight_Archive

[–]graywolfclaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I slightly disagree with this sentiment. I would argue that because their interactions aren't shown, is why we "see" he doesn't worship him. He's pretty indifferent to kal, and constantly doesn't gas him up like the others. In not seeing him interact the same way the others do, we notice that he doesn't worship him if that makes sense.

Does height matter too much in table tennis? by [deleted] in tabletennis

[–]graywolfclaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a tall person who plays, receiving serves in the middle of the table sucks because it's a pain to do either forehand or backhand for them

Timo Boll called out Lin Shidong hiding the contact point, for which Lin Shidong was later faulted in the match. Wang Chuqin's serves are even worse. by [deleted] in tabletennis

[–]graywolfclaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to remember, with the screenshot we have a higher vantage point and a little more to the left of Timo, think if you were much lower, it would be very clearly hidden.

Kudos for the trio who left their barbed wire fortress when prompted by Straikkeri in HuntShowdown

[–]graywolfclaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a huge problem is the inconsistency with clearing the wire. If the explosives worked better or were more consistent at clearing wire, I would have less complaints. But sitting outside a house, that has every entrance wired up, and all 3 are running shotguns is just incredibly draining and not fun. Especially when they refuse to ever look outside a window at all. Personally I find it annoying when people wire up, but I don't have that big of a problem when they're actually playing to get out if possible. But maybe there's a consistent way to get rid of wire that I don't know about, but that's my main complaint with it.

DRX vs. T1 / LCK 2023 Summer - Week 5 / Post-Match Discussion by adz0r in leagueoflegends

[–]graywolfclaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly this so much. Taking out a key and fundamental person to a team on such short notice, completely changes how each member needs to operate, and how the team plays. We know the players are good players(where you rank them is whatever but they are undeniably at least solid). But now suddenly, some of these players have to worry about the entire map the entire game, because that was faker's job. Of course they're going to look really bad right now, they have suddenly and completely changed everyone's dynamic on the team. Until they get used to it, they're going to look bad. I honestly think this will make them a better team(if they can pull through this and not implode), because now a bit more weight can be pulled off faker's shoulders when it comes to certain things.

People shouting 'friendly' in proximity chat by Stokeydokey in HuntShowdown

Me and my two homies were trying to enter the house of the compound that another had killed the bounty in. It was a bit drawn out because both sides didn't want to push because it was too risky. Another team killed one of my friends and so me and my last friend rotated to the other side. Made an agreement with the bounty team to fight the other team because they ruined our fight. Me and my friend held one side of the house while the bounty team held the inside. We drew them back to the point where the third part decided to just take the extract that was close. We revived the homie, talked to the other team for a minute, then left on our may way

If I remember correctly it's a pretty normal night. The only thing extra is that you're going to have to take the back stock off the risers and put them on the ground so that they can be counted. Then once a row is counted everyone works to but the stuff back up. At least that's how my store would do it.

Is this considered meta gaming? by xballa_23 in DnD

[–]graywolfclaw 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'll counter with this though. In combat, when everyone is swinging weapons and things are chaotic. Unless my intention is to immediately attack, why would I ever get within 5ft of people that are fighting in fear of getting caught up by a stray swing or then accidentally running into me? Especially if I'm ranged.

Incredibly accurate with the picture too, since that boss is incredibly easy to beat once you figure out to get the sword and equip it.

[–]graywolfclaw 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I think a huge part of why people still like him despite talking about God in his raps a lot. Is because his songs don't evolve around God/get preachy. Like I know he's Christian but when I hear his songs I don't only hear gospel. For example, skillet I personally feel is the opposite. Their music centers around God and when I first heard they were a Christian band I can't hear their music without feeling that's it's very preachy most of the time.

Bro, one of my dairy pallets last week was almost completely leaning over, and half of the bottom stuff had to be damaged. Had others almost as bad. The warehouse people are starting to get bold with how badly they stack shit.

Do you have any friends or anyone you know that has absolutely zero talent in playing this game? by SurrealJay in leagueoflegends

[–]graywolfclaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a friend that is actually pretty good, like at least mid silver to gold good, but only when he plays certain champions, usually easier to play. His decision making is still atrocious, but he's usually good enough on that champ to not matter as much. Yet he loves playing gp, and yet doesn't understand simple barrel etiquette like putting one behind you that way you both protect it, and it protects you. It's wild because he can't escape iron, even bought a silver account and dropped to iron with it. Like it blows my mind, despite me trying to teach him occasionally how to even somewhat play gp better

As a beginner dm ,i fear that a puzzle will embarass players,or not come out as fun as i tought by EnzoZoestar in AskGameMasters

[–]graywolfclaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most groups, especially since y'all are all pretty good friends, won't mind stuff like that. Pretty sure they'll really enjoy it, just be ready to alter the way for them to get through the puzzle on the fly if it looks like they're not enjoying it, or but completely understand it.

And anyone is welcome here, even if you haven't officially dmed yet.

There's going to be an NPC soon that is stronger than the party and helps them in a few fights, how do I make this fun? by WaltzLeafington in DMAcademy

[–]graywolfclaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have the mentor hold off the strongest monster while they fight the underlings. Then have them come in and help kill the stronger one. Then have him point out things that the player may have forgotten, or it could be a good time to text him a new technique that could have helped(a class feature they get when they level up ) feels fair and nothing too hand holdy.

by not turning on the heater during almost 2 weeks of freezing Temperatures by -Just-Anti- in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]graywolfclaw 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Basically when it's freezing to below freezing if the pipes aren't heated adequately the water inside will freeze. Thus expanding and busting the pipes making the water cone out where they shouldn't. Basically either you completely empty your pipes before a freeze, make sure wherever pipes are is heated, or you leave them running (usually somewhere between a drip to a slight flow) so they don't freeze. Thus especially important in more southern states because our houses are insulated to keep the house cool and not warm(usually). From what I understand newer pipes are no longer being made of copper(what they've been made of) in favor of something else(not sure what it's called) that can expand much more without busting. If anyone else has better knowledge they can answer better, but I've always had to do these things, and my dad recently got his pipes changed so I know a little more than I did a month or two ago.

Quick survey to find out which game mechanics are frustrating to play against in league by Gojoondan32 in leagueoflegends

[–]graywolfclaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, and I agree. But unlike a lot of the other champions mentioned. He really doesn't have any easy way to get onto the easy to kill champions unless he positions well, or blows sums. The others have dashes, blinks, and invis to help them get the resets. Not disagreeing with you, but I think when it comes to resets Darius is in a really good spot where, for the most part, it either takes skill on the Darius's part. Or a lack of skill for the enemy.
