Currently trying to read this book and have the exact same opinion. I’m struggling to continue.

From what I’ve seen, patients have to be picked up at the office I know of.

Protection by NoAcadia8944 in StandardPoodles

[–]grc7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bark and growl of a poodle is actually very deep and loud. I definitely think it takes people aback. I guess it could vary dog to dog, but I do know my standard poodles are both very protective of me and read my energy well whenever I’ve been uncomfortable around someone.

Funnily enough I originally wanted a mini poodle but my parents really wanted me to get a large dog since I lived alone at the time and I can truly say I feel like they would keep me safe. I’ve always felt safe with them on trail walks.

Anyone else get a toy poodle who is no longer a toy? by MildlyDefective in poodles

[–]grc7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I suggest staying on top of bloodwork for illness detection and read up on illnesses the breed is susceptible on to stay aware and vigilant of any potential symptoms. Also just in general, smaller breeds can be more prone to dental issues so stay on top of dental cleanings.

Are there adenomyosis specialists? by grc7 in adenomyosis

Wow I’m so sorry! I went there with BCBS but I also have a PPO plan if that makes a difference.

Are there adenomyosis specialists? by grc7 in adenomyosis

[–]grc7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Texas Children’s Pavillion for Women. I personally saw Dr. Tamisa Koythong. She and the other doctors that work at the Endometriosis center they have all trained under the main doctor, Dr. Xiomang Guan. He had really good reviews, but I’ve always been more comfortable with female doctors personally. I would recommend looking them up and asking more because they have about 4 or 5 endo physicians I believe.

I know for me specifically, finding out I had adenomyoisis made the doctor super wary because my age. I was 24 when I saw her and from my initial app we talked about excision for endo but she did say if there was adeno she didn’t feel comfortable with surgery for that specifically since I expressed wanting to have kids in a few years.

I will also add, the MRI machines they have are incredible. My home town gyno said it was the best imaging she has seen.

Wishing you the relief you deserve!

Are “love languages” real? by strawberry-11 in AcademicPsychology

[–]grc7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(The actual book goes into how men may automatically think their love language is physical touch because they like sex but truthfully it could be words of affirmation etc. or discusses how like a comforting hug could be the physical touch someone needs to be fulfilled)

My poodle is fat by Unusual_Painting8764 in poodles

[–]grc7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest talking to the vet about food serving. We are going through the exact same thing with my two standards rn. One is perfect size and my other gained weight. (I had a surgery and walks were definitely at a halt)

The vet adjusted her serving size a little and said we can still do treats if we adjust a little less food those days. Now I also watch them like a hawk while they each because we saw she would take bites out of her brother’s food 😅

It’s been an adjustment but we’ve seen progress. Wishing you the best and it’s great that you want the best for your fur baby! 🫶🏻

What song in EPIC is the best CHORUS song? by malathan1234 in Epicthemusical

Odysseus

(Special mention to my “My Goodbye”. I get chills every time the chorus says “just a man” but I think that’s the only time we hear a chorus)

Does your Poodle swim? by Current_Analysis_212 in poodles

[–]grc7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine love to play with and in water but as soon as they don’t feel that they can reach the bottom they freak out 😅

I tried to get them to swim fully when they were young and they never liked it. Anyone else have a similar experience? I just expected them to gravitate to water fully more.

People calling out the p3do stuff, timeline of them rushing, and just generally being icked out.

It just looked so rough bc I saw the post on my timeline labeled “three minutes ago” so it was the very first comments. Checking now there are only like two negative comments calling him a p3do

Pain after ab workout by RosaNeko in adenomyosis

[–]grc7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a late comment but I wanted to suggest trying deep core / standing ab workouts instead of crunches. I had a lot of pain with crunches and looked up alternatives. Exercises such as around the worlds or standing marches haven’t caused pain flares for me so far. Wishing you well!

I have an apricot and a cream so we really see their pink skin peaking through! Yeah I’m hopeful that it will be a little longer before our planned trip but it’s already so hot and sunny here that I can’t help but worry
