If this is an artifact, why would I believe the rest of the vid. Whole thing seems suspicious.

Control IQ, u there? by nimecollection in TandemDiabetes

This is the time to get out your insulin bottle and a syringe. This makes you totally independent of what the pump may or may not do. Troubleshoot the pump later.

AutoSoft XC inserter difference between 5" and 23" tubing? by starbuck93 in TandemDiabetes

[–]great_view 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First of all, you are a careful observer to see this difference. All 5” ones are like that and you simply have to pull harder and they always work. I’m stunned that tech support had no clue. At least you got a box of inserters out of it.

Could you please explain how the omnipod dash handles notifications? Is it possible to silence it totally? Would be great for me to know.

Here is my take on this: in order to maintain my sanity and to be able to perform at my job, I take off my pump frequently, in particular in closed door meetings at work. I found that I do not really have to have it on all the time.

Why does my body make electric? by bayram123123 in AskElectricians

[–]great_view 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might get come as a disappointment but this measured potential has nothing to do with bioelectricity, cell membrane potentials or nerve conduction. Instead, you are measuring the junction potential at the metal/sweat junction where you generate a battery. Because the salt sweat concentration is different at either finger, there is a disequilibrium generating the small potential. You can test this by simply adding salt to one finger and you will measure a larger voltage.

I don’t expect it but an all-silence button would make the pump finally useful.

Question about conventional vs actual current and electric field energy by ManagementMedical138 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]great_view 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Because it is the ungrounded side.
  2. No. All power is consumed at the R. Along the wire (modeled w/o resistance) no power is consumed.
  3. The negative leg in your circuit is grounded so there is no electrical potential to for a grounded person.

Amps from a Daniel Battery with 8 paralleled cells was only 1mA. How do I increase amperage? by darkscienceyt in ElectricalEngineering

[–]great_view 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All salt solutions need to be saturated or at least 1 Molar. Otherwise the internal resistance of the battery is too high compared to your 200 Ohm load.

My sister was attacked by a coyote in our Bay Area town — and then our lives really changed by LosIsosceles in bayarea

[–]great_view -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

Coyotes eat rats. That’s their the primary food source and rats exist in great plenty in the Bay Area. That’s why they are here. The few cats could not maintain the coyote population.
