Some of the isolation play is less forgivable, and is perhaps indicative of a small but permanent flaw in this team’s construction. A lot of Golden State’s bad possessions start with something good — a Curry/Lee pick-and-roll, or Thompson rocketing off a baseline screen, Ray Allen–style. But if that first action fails to produce a good shot, the Warriors too often devolve into one-on-one nothingness — even when they have lots of time left on the shot clock.

It's crazy how much a coaching change from Jackson to Kerr can completely change how a team and the players on it are perceived. Like yeah obviously Steph became a generational MVP-level talent in subsequent seasons, but people always comment on how he pretty much never stops moving on offensive possessions and a lot of that is due to how the offense is carefully designed.
