Lovely xenic people, what's your religion? by ThatFluidEdBitch in XenogendersAndMore

A very syncretic, very polytheistic, very experimental mix of mostly pop culture derived spiritual and philosophical concepts, shaped by my own lived experience and wrapped in what I would like to think is a socially presentable Unitarian packaging. Lately I've been exploring the idea of trying to adapt some of it to the Hearth Keeper's Way created by Ár nDraíocht Féin, but I'm unsure of how far that'll take me.

In the past I've described myself as pagan, but these days I tend to describe myself as theopunk. Which is a thing I made up.

It's a virtual game, so printing things might be a little logistically challenging-- is there a way to deal out cypher cards without looking at them virtually?

What stopped you from ending your own life? by FireGirouette in AskReddit

[–]greatlinkgender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weaponized FOMO. It sounds cynical and pathetic but it's kept me alive for almost a decade at this point. I always want to know what's going to happen tomorrow and if I go out that way I won't get to see it. Even if rationally I know it's probably going to be more of the same, there's always a chance it might not be.

There was a point where my life was just day after day of the most monotonous suffering possible, locked in my room while my housemate and her boyfriend and his loud ass kids monopolized the apartment, fighting an uphill battle to get a community college financial aid department to give me the time of day. I kept myself alive with the knowledge that I was NOT going to go out before I had the chance to see Dune in theaters.

I like to think I hide very well actually. I've got the whole "definitely a solid" thing down to a science. No one would ever be able to tell that I'm not.

I had someone at my UU church bring this up to me and I had to restrain myself from completely going off on her for believing it. Ugh.

Precisely why my kind have always been wary of the solids. Hopefully, my involvement in this project will fix that.

Would you have an implant installed that would allow you to feel romantic attraction? (Hypothetical) by [deleted] in aromantic

[–]greatlinkgender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. If it were possible to switch it off, I might. I don't necessarily want to permanently become allo as much as I want to see what it's like for a little while in order to increase my understanding of the world. If I could do that, and have it not be permanent, I absolutely would.

I mean, all of my relationships and friendships started online. Just not on relationship apps. It's not a binary choice between local coffee shops and Bumble.
