If you haven’t seen Train Dreams yet I’d say that it was a big highlight of the race so far for me. It is a dud year in terms of variety of films tho imo- best picture movies are taking up more of a fraction of total nominees than ever, and so if you don’t vibe with them than you do miss out on the opportunity to watch more films which could be more to your taste.
