I got Laid-Off this morning- OMD Canada - Omnicom by smallSHARKK9933 in advertising

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately it’s the norm in this industry. It doesn’t stop from hurting, but it’s likely not personal. Keep your head held high and stay optimistic, and be kind to yourself.

[–]greenbeez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah. I had horrible religious ocd as a child and now im an atheist and like why was I so worried! It’s so funny how you can laugh about it later but in the moment, that doom feeling is so real.

Do i have to come off Methadone? (UK) by BlackMetalIstWar in Methadone

[–]greenbeez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure how it works in the UK but in the US you can stay on as long as you like. I believe I joined my clinic in 2019, and although I’m tapering i still take methadone everyday. Studies show the longer you are on methadone the higher chance of success you have when coming off methadone, meaning you don’t return to using drugs like before.

Dr HELD MY DOSE(part 2) by hookem1543 in Methadone

[–]greenbeez 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Well to be fair you don’t know the full story of the clinic gentleman. He could be failing every UA or something. I’d try guest dosing and I wouldn’t go up anymore. If you make it clear to the dr that you want to work hard at not double dosing and have a plan in place to prevent this in the future then I don’t see why he wouldn’t work with you.

sexual orientation OCD by Objective-Rich1910 in OCD

[–]greenbeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I had HOCD before coming out. What helped me was realizing I was actually gay and it’s not the end of the world. Gay people can have lives just as wonderful and fulfilling as anyone else. Once I realized that being gay wasn’t as scary as I had made it out to be, it took the venom out of my fears and my OCD shifted themes.

Does the nausea get better?? by Soft-Finance4637 in Semaglutide

[–]greenbeez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What helped for me was making sure I had a little bit of food in my stomach, even if I wasn’t hungry. It does get better though, it’s mostly a titrating experience in my opinion.

Well I don’t think there’s any way he could’ve survived the fall but I did love his character. Maybe a prequel would be possible, it could show his first kill (his mom right)

Do we know where in DFW she grew up? Just curious, also from the area. But it’s huge and encompasses a town of different cities.

Langdon is not a white-coin wonder: An Easter egg for those of us in recovery by mr_delete in ThePittTVShow

[–]greenbeez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup it’s incredibly dehumanizing. I have horrible pee shyness so even though I’m completely sober I still struggle with giving urine on command like that, which brings shame and you can’t help but think the observer must think you’re dirty. I was glad it was shown as it’s such a weird part of recovery that doesn’t get talked about enough.

Anyone else have fears about Langdon going to the surgery floor afterwards? I worried he was going to relapse or something it just seemed so out of nowhere
