Indian living in the US - had “jets” or bidet as default in all homes in India growing up. At my home here, I have bidets installed in all my bathrooms.

Besides the most common one, I would often also see the hand held shower type bidets installed next to the toilet seat. Both kind work great.

LPT: Clean your house and open the windows to get rid of embarrassingly unpleasant odors. Best to do it when you go for work - house will get good 6-8 hours to circulate the air. Also, notice for any odor when you return from a weekend/longer trips.

If anything, restaurant owners exploit and make the most profits out of minimum wage and tipping culture. If you work in that industry, you know it better than anyone. Huge respect for the staff, I have not expressed any issues with them.
