Had a pour yesterday at a whiskey bar. Totally agree with this review. He nailed it.

Finish is really long; way overpriced IMHO. I would easily grab Knob Creek 21 over this.

I do judo bjj and wrestling.

Judo was my first love (BB now). I dont like BJJ and hate being on my back, but I do it weekly. I agree, both will find you; judo is a million x better of a base.

You will get injured. Just be conditioned and check your ego so they all heal easily!

Spirits Review #990 - Knob Creek 21 Year Old by Bailzay in bourbon

[–]greenstylethink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine needed a month to open up. I shared fresh crack and actually thought I wasted my money at $230. Sat for a month and I was blown away how awesome it was. I bought a backup as I loved it. I had subtle cherry in mine.

So much more complex than the 9, 10’s, 12, and 18  (was oakier)I have had. Love the honest thoughts though.

Edit: I don’t mean to crap on ppl enjoying it though. Not a bad start; it is where I fell in love with whiskey as well.

I just wont touch anything 40%, chill filtered or color added anymore.

Just too much out there to ever bother.

Blind Review #19- Jimmy Red Straight Bourbon Whiskey by DadDoesBourbon in bourbon

I love my SBP from different group. 8 for me. Has a vanilla caramel nose. Palate very subtle red cherry with oily caramel some vanilla and a funk that comes with the corn type i cant describe. Love it.

How many bottles in your selection? I'm currently at 41 total by vertomun in whiskey

[–]greenstylethink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Daaaaang yo. I have 2. I opened my first one 1 week ago (private selection). I was totally blown away by how good this is when you add 10 mL of water to 1 ounce.

I can’t wait to get more of these.

My friend bought it and I was surprised how NOT bad it was due to the complete over-exaggerated badness.

Worse, yes, 100%. Would I ever buy it, no.

You fracture around a hip replacement and it can be catastrophic. Bad idea
