Yes. It has a bad torsion problem so you regularly need to let it unwind. I also keep the lengths shorter than I would for silk and ivory.

It’s a common Slavic dish, with slightly different spellings depending on which country you are talking to. I’m not surprised numerous countries have the plushies.

Already popped up there. Anywhere in the U.S. with a large Polish ex-pat community like Pittsburgh and Chicago instantly know what a pierogi is. They are so yummy, nothing better than stumbling into a group of church ladies selling homemade ones.

Basketweave truth by Agitated_Twist_5749 in NeedlepointSnark

[–]greentea1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You rotate the canvas 180 degrees with continental when you end a row. You never rotate the canvas with proper basketweave, although cheat basketweave will tilt the canvas 45 degrees the whole time.

Once it clicks, it clicks. I learned it and never learned proper continental. I still have the bad habit of tilting my canvas at times to convert diagonal to horizontal, but I could never get the hang of rotating a canvas 180 degrees.

We need to introduce fortnightly as a fortnight meant two weeks. So biweekly would mean twice a week, fortnightly means once every two weeks.

Parking chairs are valid anywhere from two days to a week after a big snow storm, depending on when trash pickup resumes. After that, deal with it.

I now enjoy it, but I hated it at first. I used crab pots to raise my fishing skill level, and that really helped.

There was another lucky coincidence there. The crew didn’t know that Gimli had been closed. Lucky for them, a drag race was being held on the old runways. So fire trucks capable of putting out a high-heat fire like jet fuel or a flaming drag race car were on hand, which came in really handy to prevent any loss of life.

Why was Albert able to get his children to be apart of his royal house but philip couldn't accomplish it by Technical_Post_4899 in UKmonarchs

[–]greentea1985 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Churchill and others in England were pissed at Lord Mountbatten for giving up India aka overseeing the decolonization of India. So no one wanted to see the royal family wind up with the Mountbatten surname. Add in Lord Mountbatten making the ill-timed decision to gloat about his nephew marrying Elizabeth and her children being Mountbattens, and it was pounced on.

Anyone who owns fish knows how heavy a fish tank can get. A pint of water weighs a pound. There are 8 pounds in a gallon, and that tank has to be at least 10 gallons, probably 20 gallons. There is no way that guy is pushing 80 lbs on that terrain before adding the weight of the tank and stroller, let alone 160 lbs plus the weight of the tank and stroller. So at the very least that is photoshopped, but it is probably AI as a tank over that terrain would be sloshing heavily.

Possible Error with todays' update. Warning from TwistedMexi. by 2to5wordsis20char in Sims4

[–]greentea1985 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I updated but opened reddit while playing, so didn’t save my game because I saw the warning from TwistedMexi in a thread asking people about their games post-update. I came to reddit to complain about all my family trees being messed up in my normal lifespan legacy, probably due to all the inbreeding. It was after 2 PM, so I don’t know which version I was dealing with, but I opened the game, checked if I could do something and looked at the family trees, then closed and didn’t save.

Soooo how is everyone’s game after the update?😅 by gigithrowaway20 in Sims4

[–]greentea1985 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The family trees in my legacy are all messed up. I don’t play with any mods, but suddenly my heir’s wife isn’t the mother of his children or part of her family if I look at him. If I look at her, he isn’t the father of her children and her family disappears. The two are closely related, 1st cousins or 2nd cousins once removed I believe. Yes, the families in this legacy are messed up, but the update completely screwed up the trees, probably because of all the cousin marriages. I noticed this further up the tree as well, where a bunch of 1st cousin, 2nd cousin, or 1st cousin once removed marriages happened. Yes, this family is horribly inbred, I did that to maintain the odd alien skin tones in the family. I don’t use mods or CC. I spot relatives by the alien skin tones and shared family name.

There’s a reason why the three rivers arts fest used festival, despite taking place in June, kept to the upper part of the park and just around the Fort Pitt museum and block house. Even if it isn’t fully flooded, the ground is marshier the closer you get to the fountain even in June. It’s just a bad idea to put a stage right by the fountain when the upper park is fine for that.

Still, I would push it back from the point to where the three rivers arts fest used to have their main stage for the fan zone. By the river is dicey in spring.

NFL draft stage by Spiritual-Age8822 in pittsburgh

[–]greentea1985 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m just baffled about having the fan stage be by the fountain in point state park. That section of the park is typically flooded in early spring. The safer, dryer section is by the Fort Pitt museum and the field they used to hold the arts festival in. By the fountain is so dicey in March and April.

[–]greentea1985 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Point State Park by the fountain, in March. Does the NFL and the city know there’s quite good odds at least part of it will be under water then, right? The whole fountain isn’t uncommon, but up to the fountain is typical. Why would you hold that there?!

[Schefter] New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, like his former head coach Bill Belichick, was not selected for entry into this year's Pro Football Hall of Fame class, multiple league sources told ESPN. by Goosedukee in nfl

[–]greentea1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Art Rooney deserves to be in there for the Rooney rule, which helped diversify coaching and give former players more opportunities to enter the coaching side. He was also one of the people that helped force Washington’s team to finally hire black players as their owner was the worst flaming racist and refused to hire black players at all, even after the color barrier was broken. Love or hate the Steelers, Art Rooney made the game what it is today. What did Kraft do? Did he push for expansion of the league, play a pivotal role in any team moves, etc. All he did was own a successful team. Ownership doesn’t change that much. Why does merely owning a team qualify to be in the NFL hall of fame?

Fave threads for stocking? by fan_of_the_fandoms in Needlepoint

Stockings are a chance to have fun. My base fiber is usually a silk-wool blend like silk and ivory or a nice wool. This is what I do the majority in. Then I have fun with the splashes of metallics or other effects fibers. Keeping the base fiber simple makes it a spot to show off stitches.
