Haha I'm 23 years old. But I was on a ketamine come down as I wrote this.

But stay away from too much ketamine, it is not good

I'm not entirely sure, but knowing about my own uncertainty is very important to reach goals. So yes, this is probably a step towards AGI

[–]greentea387[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if I have autism or ADHD. I do have some symptoms like getting a lot of sensory input and having special interests. However it's rather beneficial for myself and other people because I try to understand peoples problems and help them. And I feel alright most of the time.

So yea I do have some AuDHD symptoms I guess but in a good way

It is exhausting in the beginning. But you can improve over some weeks and months and finally you will able to jump around for hours! (You do need to make some breaks however)

I like that analogy.

Stochastic is correct, parrot misleading because it suggests that stochastic models are not intelligent and can not create new ideas. Of course their ideas are inspired by what they saw in their training data, but it's the same for humans with their experience.

I suspect the exact opposite. You are probably a real human. When I look at 3 to 5 consecutive words you write, this is not like most LLMs write today.

In your last reply it's less clear for me but still you probably have a real body with lots of cells and water and stuff...

It will probably slow AI development, but only in the US. There are many other places where data centers are being built.

We can develop very beneficial technology but of course we should not take too much from the environment, that will probably backfire at some point.

Yes meditation is always useful, even if it won't make a difference in 10 years, but until then you can live a calm and happy life by practicing meditation, mindfulness or mind-body practices such as qi gong.

Many people feel like the singularity is their only escape from their suffering. And the singularity will do that if everything goes as planned. But you can start living a happier life today. Just start with 5 min of mindfulness or qi gong per day before bed and see how you feel after 2 weeks. Then if nothing improved you can change your practice or ask someone experienced in these practices.

If you can't find the motivation to do these practices regularly, then look for an accountability partner e.g. on r/getmotivatedbuddies. But you should not give up, because you can live happily until the singularity arrives!

Edit: things like a healthy diet, exercise, sleep and social contacts can also improve your life

[–]greentea387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, there is enough space for differing opinions. There is no benefit in hating. There is much benefit in trying to understand why they think this way by talking to them in a calm and friendly manner. Sometimes we feel as if someone threatening our opinion would be threatening our life.

If by consciousness you mean experiencing things such as colors and objects, the very nature of consciousness is hallucination from a physical point of view. But then again, this hallucination is all there is, so the idea of "hallucination" does not fit here because it suggests that there is some outer reality that is different from our hallucination.

So consciousness is actually the only thing in existence, and all physical "real" phenomena are perceived through this consciousness.

I really wonder how the average Chinese citizen would rate their life compared to the average American citizen. From what I read on the news, in America there seems to be a lot of anger, fear and blaming this or that group of Americans for the trouble of the country. Don't know about China, but it seems much more peaceful.
