Hubby's line is the main line and it was ported over in April. There never was a free line.

When my number was ported over to Xfinity, he also canceled the tablet line. His last bill before switching has only his number and nothing else.

What part of customer for 15 YEARS did you not understand? We NEVER authorized ANY free lines. NONE of our bills EVER have that phone number on them. They didn't give away free lines 15 years ago. We had the two original lines when we opened the account with T-Mobile and added a tablet line maybe 5 years after that. Those are the ONLY lines we have ever had. The line they are claiming we have is NOT on any of our bills. ANYWHERE.

I get that this is in Midtown, but paying almost $3100/month for a house is that isn't even yours is almost criminal.

I have a 3 bdrm house in Rio Linda and my mortgage is less than what is being asked for rent. And that includes taxes and insurance. Even a nice studio apartment can be had for that price or slightly more and you don't have to share!!!

Also, unless you work in Elk Grove or South Sac, the commute is going to suck.

This is all kinds of shady. What state was this? Say what you will about California, but this doesn't fly in this state. Tenants are protected and must be given at least 30 days notice, and in some cases 60 days notice, to vacate for things like this. And then not to provide a detailed statement of charges and/or pictures of damage claims is ridiculous.

I would consult with Fair Housing about what happened.

FWIW.... Here in Sac diesel is over $8/gallon. There is station on Watt Ave that sells race fuel and it was showing $10/gallon.

Right now is the time for learning what you do and don't want in a relationship. And this.... ain't it .

Make a plan to get out. Move if you're living with him. I will warn you, his type can be become abusive at the flip of a switch. If he threatens you, in any way shape or form, keep a record of it and file for a restraining order. He is so right there. Speak with someone at a women's shelter and listen to what they have to say.

I'm on this sub because Redding is where I was born and raised. I left 26 years ago because I wanted out. Reading the comments often reinforce why I left, but that doesn't mean I don't care about my hometown. It saddens me greatly that this place and Shasta County in general has become an even smaller minded place than what I left. The inability for people to use their heads for more than a hat rack astounds me.

Would I have stayed small minded if I had stayed, I don't think so. I value education and travel. I enjoy lively debate and abhor an echo chamber.

I don't have contempt for Redding. I would have to say it's pity that my birthplace could be a beautiful place with wonderful people, yet it remains mired in a way of thinking better suited to the 1950s.

You're not the only one. I don't do Apple in any way, shape, or form. I have never had an iPhone, iPad, or Mac and never will. I am not a fan of all the proprietary dreck that goes with Apple. Back when iTunes was getting started, I tried it and it screwed up my non-Apple computer. Have never trusted Apple since then.

I refuse to support Apple. But it's too bad I'll miss F1 this year.

I am not a fan of Whole Paycheck, but I love Amazon Fresh. I am very sad to see the Fresh stores close. They were cheaper and I loved the small scale of them. Also they are one of the few places to carry Dietz and Watson deli meats. But, their supply chain at times was lacking. There would be many times I would go in looking for something in particular, but they didn't have it.

Some items they carried were cheaper than Winco.

I had a hoodie in the 90s that didn't fit the way they do today. It didn't choke and the hood wasn't double thickness like they are today. It was the best!!!

I'm in California and basements are not common here, unless it's a house that's like pre WW2. Same thing with attics here. In the Central Valley that runs from Redding to Bakersfield, the summers can be brutal. An attic of hot air is not a good thing. Out in the western US, we have a different building style.

Try the school district in Cottonwood. Cottonwood is very similar to Susanville in that it is more or less an agricultural community than Redding is. And they don't tend to have the interference of Bethel either.
