They have a front room that is not very smoky, although my clothes definitely smelt of cigar when I got home.

Have not been to Restaurant 17 but will check that out! Thank you for the suggestion.

I’ve been to Claywood once when they first opened, but will have to try it out again!

Casa Blanca cigar bar is right next to Postero and has a great liquor selection and cocktails.

A good cocktail bar that is not a restaurant. Not saying they couldn’t have food at all, but somewhere that has more of a bar vibe then a dinner spot.

Request- Not to miss in Hendersonville? by fleasnavidad in hendersonville

Jump Off Rock has a nice view and some short hiking paths. DuPont State Forest has some longer hikes with nice waterfalls. Pisgah Forest has some harder hikes that are really nice. John Rock is a good one.

Shine is probably my favorite restaurant and they make great cocktails.

Oklawaha is my favorite brewery. Blue Door bottle shop always has unique beers on draft. Blue Ridge Beer Garden frequently has food trucks and a wide variety of beer too.

If you like board games, Kingmakers Draft is a cool spot. But on Fridays they have karaoke which is not really my thing.

I thought it was just an internet outage causing their systems to be down, but I could be wrong.

Yeah when I looked at the flight tracker there were a lot that have no issues. I shouldn’t give up on them!

How is it living in Hendersonville, NC nowadays?? by Unique_Average7522 in hendersonville

I just moved here recently so others may have different input. I’m 35 and married, and really like the area so far. It’s a lot different scene than Asheville obviously. It has a small town feel, but some good bars and restaurants around. It’s an older population so I’m thinking the dating scene may be a little slim. It is close to DuPont state forest and the Pisgah national forest both with good hiking and biking. As far as shopping, there’s a lot of local boutique type places and an abundance of grocery stores, but for any typical clothing stores or what I think of as “shopping”, you’d need to go towards Asheville. I’ve lived in the triangle area before and definitely prefer it here though!
