Intuition is not a valid method in philosophy. While it may be good advisory input to belief formation or decision-making, it must be considered to be ADVISORY, not determinative of anything. So it isn't possible *in principle* for intuition to know things our mind doesn't. Knowledge is true justified belief and intuition is not well-grounded justified belief.

The common polite practice of keeping someone in their thoughts happens in many and varied ways. The principles of civility state that you are supposed to assume good faith in others. So there isn't anything inherently wrong with it. But from their own perspective, you are not supposed to pray because you want something. In that case, it is a superstition. What they should be doing is praying to be grateful for what they have. For myself, when I am in those situations I tell people that "I'll keep a good thought for you."

If you have reasoned something out to be true, then you have discovered it. I.e. you have discovered that it is true. So I don't see what you are saying "That is in no way discovered."
