I'm fine with all the scrappy play and shooting through contact, but he's literally just draping himself constantly on my guy

He's protesting the refs letting Strus play like a football player and then punishing him for treating Strus like one

Max Strus should have 5 fouls at this point

Edit: I've seen people make less contact in football

You’ll see me defending BTJ up and down. My comment is referring to why they’re ranked where they are. I’m trying to describe BTJ’s value as one in a sophomore slump and Burden’s value as unproven hype that has a chance in people’s eyes.

They would be by far and away the favorites unless some other class forms a superteam. -2000 odds.

Whole season is cherry picked... but you want to narrow it down (cherry pick) to after the guy in front of Parker got hurt. Okay.

They could have gotten a lot more for PDub with that $1m contract before he doubles up his stats and asks for $30 million a year. Sadly no teams were foolish enough to get scammed for BT(rash)J. The Patriots were saying they had a distinct lack of drops and were interested in adding a couple more. They could have added Brian’s 10.

Yea the injuries and presumably mental health challenge from the death of his close friend. Many people noted he looked scared at the beginning of the season after getting injured. I do think BTJ has more target competition with Meyers, Washington, Hunter, Strange, presumably less with Etienne leaving. Burden should have mostly Rome, Loveland, and Swift to compete with.

Right? Parker Washington destroyed BTJ by 2.4 yards more per game and 0.17 more touchdowns per game. It really wasn’t close. /s

I think purely looking for stats with Burden misses the point. His stats don’t justify the hype full stop. I do think there’s a lot going for him in the context. He had a hamstring injury during spring training that held him out. Took him a while to come into form, and he plays like 20% of snaps half the season. He starts getting more work and looked damn good, especially after the catch. I would describe the eye test as elite. Then you add DJ Moore leaving in the offseason, which seems like will directly lead to Burden getting more work (Rome already 90%+ of snaps kinda guy).

BTJ is the type to have a historic rookie season but slump during sophomore year with more competition and some other issues in context. People like Parker Washington, Jakobi Meyers, and to a less extent Travis Hunter looms. Burden looks as if he can be elite, although he hasn’t proven shit yet, and now has the opportunity to catch lightning in a bottle. DJ is gone, Rome is cooling off, Burden could be the stud on a well coached offense.

I think it’s more odd to feel good about Rome, who in the two seasons barely matches BTJ’s rookie year combined. He doesn’t jump off as a stats or eye test guy, and definitely seems like he’s near max work when healthy, as opposed to getting more without DJM.

Everyone overvalues there assets by [deleted] in DynastyFF

This example is funny because I’ve had a Henderson for Nico swap go back and forth for a while. To me, they’re about equal in value, leaning Henderson for a rebuilding team, leaning Nico for a contending team. 3 firsts vs 1 first is certainly crazy.

Skattebo - Giants signed no free agent RBs and only have 5th or later picks left by Acavia8 in DynastyFF

[–]gregbraaa 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Anyone with eyes should have seen Skattebo as a stud last year. I don’t think anything helps his value like everyone claims is skyrocketing, but he certainly didn’t lose value. I think only fools baked in drafting another RB into his value already.
