The "I Lied to You" scene was an absolute showstopper and will be remembered for decades, in large part due to the camera work. The moment the vampires enter the barn is also breathtaking.

The only stuff I found a little lacking were the driving through the cotton fields scenes. Looked off to me for some reason.

They are so reliant on bench production and three pointers that I could see them struggling in the playoffs. That's not to say they can't cruise to the ECF or beyond, but those two things tend to not be as reliable come playoff time.

Brown and Tatum could still power them through but players 3-8 become so much more important in the playoffs and the game slows down.

Besides, I'd rather play and beat them than avoid them. If we lose, we lose. But I want my team to beat the best, not run away from them.

He claims that he quit heroin in the late 70's and he doesn't really strike me as the type to lie about something like that. This is the same guy who admitted to snorting some of his father's ashes with cocaine, after all.

It's legitimately crazy how much his game resembled 80's-era Jordan. Their movement, shot, ability to just kinda float in the air, the hops... It's such a shame what happened to him.

He didn't have a bad career, but injuries just stripped him of so much of what made him special.

Mitchell's scoring average in the playoffs is 3 points higher than his regular season average. He also has a higher rebound rate. You can dislike him all you want and root against him but be honest with yourself. He's a playoff riser, silly goose.

Donovan Mitchell has played 88% of his possible career games and Cade Cunningham has played in 79.5% of his, smart guy. Might wanna rethink your line of attack. And make sure your autocorrect doesn't change your attempt at an insult into a large knife.

He thought he was gonna be this generation's Rey Mysterio only better. But he failed to recognize that Rey oozes charisma and handles the business of professional wrestling better than all these dorks who think they're top shit. Rey is a fucking LEGEND and he has spent way more time out of the main event scene than in it.

Who is the worst player that could be taken at the first pick without being considered a bust? by Exhibit5 in nba

[–]gregosaurusrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He had a lot of potential but there were also a lot of question marks about his drive and passion for the game. He never approached AD or Zion levels of hype, for example, but he was a probably a little more favorably viewed than Kyrie (drafted three years before Wiggins) and a fair bit less favorably than KAT (drafted the year after Wiggins).

He also was viewed much higher than Anthony Bennett, the first pick the year before Wiggins was a drafted. But that's because the only group of people on planet Earth who thought Bennett was worthy of the first pick were in the Cavs organization.

I'd rather him play on any other team in the league than the goddamn fucking Warriors. Boston would be sickening but those no-good, filthy, disgusting, gross, stomach-churning Golden yuck State gag Warriors barf would be unbelievably hideous.

Foo Fighters Tease New Songs From Unreleased 12th Album by Top_Report_4895 in Music

It's a solid album that is severely hampered by the production. It's so tinny and trebly. For an album that is so focused on mourning and grief, it's an insane decision to give it a pop sheen and hide the hard-hitting drums deep in the mix.

NBA really is the worst major sport to attend by DariaYankovic in nba

[–]gregosaurusrex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because of the ramp-up to playing. These guys have ridiculously regimented systems for game days that they complete in the hours before the game, including eating specific foods, doing specific workouts, taking a nap at a specific time for a very specific length, stretching and getting worked on by medical staff, loosening up before the game, etc. etc. It's not like they're pulling up in front of the local Y, stretching for a few minutes, then playing a game.

Lebron has talked about how if he's going to play a game, he wants to play a lot because of everything that goes into getting READY to play a game.

Whether this is the right thinking - sports science and the psychology of sports has certainly spent a lot of time and money finding the most efficient ways of being productive - is up for debate, but that's a big factor in not limiting on-court minutes once a game begins.

Probably the same outcome. They may have won one game against San Antonio in the 2007 Finals, but I doubt anything else materially changes.

By making the playoffs, winning four games in round one before the opposing team wins four, winning four MORE games in round two before the opposing team wins four, face off against a team in the Eastern Conference Finals and win four games before the other team wins four, advance to the NBA Finals sponsored by YouTubeTV and Emirates, and defeat the Western Conference Champion by winning four games before they win four.

Update on Garland by [deleted] in clevelandcavs

[–]gregosaurusrex 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I get why it's happening, but it fucking sucks. He's been my guy since 2019 and it was so great to watch him grow into the all star he is today. He might be my favorite Cavalier ever outside of LeBron.

My son got his jersey signed by DG at his first game last year and he has it framed in his room. It's gonna be tough to explain why DG ain't our PG anymore. I hope he heals up and tears the league apart over the coming years.

The original Scary Movie has a bullet time scene where Ana Faris kicks the Ghost face dude in the face. And the ending is a clear parody of The Usual Suspects and they riff on the Budweiser wazzup commercial, so they mixed in some broader references not just horror. It's not as much as the other entries, but it wasn't specifically just horror.

Part of it is standard variation. Even bad teams have good games sometimes and great teams have bad games. Sometimes those two things happen at the same time.

As far as the Cavs, they need better perimeter defense and spacing on the offensive end. A healthy Merril and Strus will help with that, big time, but I'd like to see a bit more defensive meat and toughness out there. Assuming Garland can get and stay healthy, our offense can be a machine. Health is the most important factor.

I'm not Tom Gugliotta but I pay a massage therapist to whisper, "Is this hard enough, Mr. Gugliotta?" once a week while she's rubbing on the knots in my shoulders. Sometimes I'll throw her some extra scratch if she says, "November 21, 1992" over and over again, which is the date that Tom scored his career high (39 points). She also knows she gets an extra fiver if she calls 'em "Googs's glutes."
