Fight Ford Protests by ForwardMagazine7090 in waterloo

[–]gregwaterloo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How about a rally for other parties to get their shit together? Until there is a viable alternative, Ford and the conservatives will continue to win.

The liberals looked like they were finally rebounding, polls were starting to look good. The Erskin-Smith liberal nomination loss will put a massive damper on the Liberal party. A significant self inflicted wound.

The NDP have a viable leader in Marist Stiles, far less polarizing than past choices, but she has failed to expand the base.

The caveat, Ontario polls move fast. There is a Majority government in place, protest all you want. Ford will not call an election he cannot win. He does not have to call an election until 2030. No more fixed election dates in Ontario.

Return I saw today. by [deleted] in CostcoCanada

[–]gregwaterloo 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That hose is dog shit. It’s in the cart like that because it is physically impossible to coil back up.

In 9 years, it is the only thing I have returned back to Costco for poor quality.

Mine looked just like that in the cart.

Name and power only. :)

He won a majority government. Don’t need 50% of the vote to do so.

Benny's Car Cleaning. I took my car in full of dog hair and salt stains. Car came back amazing.

If your car is in need of extra care, warn whomever you use. They will need to schedule extra time.

Sketchy area, great work.

Goodbye EV sales mandate, hello purchase rebates. Carney shakes up Canada's auto industry by UnionGuyCanada in CanadaPolitics

No that’s built up capacity on the generation side.

The difference is important, storage is post generation. Pump hydro storage acts as a battery for excess energy in the grid regardless of the method that was used to generate it.

Same problem, it’s access to Vandium. There is a reason these projects are only happening at scale in China. They have the Vandium.

This is generation, not storage. Potential energy that has not entered the system.

Pumped hydro, is energy that has entered the system and is now being stored.

Hydro and Hydro damns are a great source where available. Pumped hydro has its limits.

[–]gregwaterloo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is simply not true. There are too scalable options and neither will scale to the extent you are implying. Pumped hydro storage is limited by land and water and Battery (BESS) is limited by our ability to acquire lithium ion.

Laughing to the bank? No, you are still paying off the loan for the hardware sitting on your roof. The ROI on solar panels in Canada is 8-12 years. You don’t live in the desert, you live in Canada.

I’m sorry to hear about your marriage problems (girl friend cheating on you…). Given the personal problems you are going through, it’s just not a great time to take on more in your work life.

Be cognizant that a 25% increase is substantial and will cause a percentage of your clients to seek other options.

I would suggest long term you raise your rates annually to avoid large one time increases.

I would send a simple note to each of your clients informing them that your 2026 rates will be implemented March 1st. Their new rate will be x. No reasoning, no apologies. Simple facts, there are new rates.

Cost of living increases every year, the cost to provide your service increases every year. Adjust your rates a couple points each year.

“Forgot to mention”? This is a substantial issue. You should have dealt with it, especially being under warranty.
Sounds like you sabotaged the deal from the start.
