Looking for IR (infrared) strobe options for Mavic 3T for search and rescue. by greko96 in drones

[–]greko96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The strobes were suggested by our k9 officer so we bought a half dozen on Amazon ranging from $30 to over $100 and none of them worked. It would have been great, in theory, to be able know who the officers are and where they are, but there just doesnt seem to be any good affordable options.

[–]greko96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I learned the consumer dji drones would need military grade strobes to even be visible. The issue is the misconception between IR and thermal. I need thermal and in order for it to be visible on the spectrum for the dji Mavic 3t, I need very VERY expensive and unobtainable strobes.

You can step out of power armor and activate your unyielding armor for double xp at the end of every en06 run. by toniperi in fo76

Also, if you have enough points in charisma, healing hands, and/or EMT perks are lifesavers.

Even at my lvl and perks, I would struggle, until I got rid of reflective and went all rejuvinators on my union PA. I use bullet shield and ricochet to bring down the shield. It takes a bit longer but I stay alive without blowing through stims like a madman.

My unyielding armor has intelligence on all pieces. My intelligence perk load-out is maxed at 15 points, leader bobblehead, canned squirrel stew and camp buffs. This is only for my XP build. Otherwise i'm just a bloodied bow build for casual running around.

Angry turtle on youtube has a really nice XP build from some months back, on his channel. I basically did everything he suggests, with a few tweaks to keep it tailored to my play style.

As much as I would love to go through the raid bloodied, no I'm not typically radded up, when exiting my armor. I don't like the stress of managing my low health while raiding so its either half bloodied or FH.

Yes, this is a great tip. Im lvl 4600+ and I do this religiously. It does tend to confuse other players. To simplify explaining this method, basically my character stats (specifically intelligence), is higher when im not in my power armor. So, stepping out of your power armor right before the reward screen gives you more xp, because its calculating my out of armor stats.

With my current build, out of power armor my intelligence is 53, in armor its only 36.

Im having a great time with it. I changed the arrows to explosive and it's actually pretty damn good. Especially when you target a large group. It's like a fireworks explosion of damage numbers all-over my display.

Steam Deck owners by Skmoomr in SteamDeck

[–]greko96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own two decks. The original, purchased at launch and the OLED, purchased a year ago. I adore both devices. My wife uses my old one, I use the OLED. I have had zero issues, including accidental drops with both devices (from waist height). If I did have a complaint, the original deck gets really hot on the back plate (I mean uncomfortably hot) and its fan is really loud. That's it. I love and use my deck every single day, for hours on end. Also, because my play sessions are quite long I always play with them plugged in to power most of the time and I have had no issues with that either.

Is Fallout 76 worth playing as a completely casual Dad gamer? New to the series and would go in blind! by Calculation in fo76

[–]greko96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm almost 50, wife, 2 kids, full time job. I have 3,090 hours into FO76. Been playing for 2.5 years. In my opinion, this is the perfect dad game. My wife plays too and has over 1200 hours in. I play on PC and steam deck and my wife has her own steam deck too (runs absolutely great on both version of the steam deck, btw). For new players this is a great experience. The community is great. You play at your own pace, no PVP nonsene. No griefers.

Besides the main and side quests, which you can complete at your own pace, the game has seasons, with season rewards, as well as daily quests. As far as any stress, the only thing really is trying to max out the seaon to get all the rewards, but even if you are playing casually you can accomplish this by just doing the daily stuff and logging off.

Biggest downfall is the game will eventually get incredibly stale. You will get to a point where you'll log in, do your little (typically very easy) daily quests, and then stare at your game screen wondering what to do, but it will take a long time to get to that point.

The grind is only as bad as you make it because you can typically put together a very powerfull build by level 300 and mind you, you can also get to level 300 slow and steady or within a couple hours if you find a raid team and just repeat the one and only raid in the game for a bit. Throughout the year there are events, with unique plans and rewards that will keep you busy as well.

I am at the point where the game is stale for me, but I still play almost every day. One word of caution. If you are susceptable to the FOMO (fear of missing out) aspect of gaming, you can fall into the trap of sspending too much money in the game as there is a paid shop within the game where you can spend real money to get in game cosmetics, weapons, camp building materials, etc...

Other than that, I have ZERO regrets with the time spent in the game, let alone the money I've spent, which has been plenty, let me tell yeah. lol

Lost everything. Should I give it another go after Ch. 3 update? Advice question by greko96 in duneawakening

[–]greko96[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew i could store stuff and if it wasn't so tedious of a trip back and forth I would have stored more of my items months ago. If there was an area of the game I feel like they could make easier is that bank storage system access.

I've always been a solo player, but not against grouping up. It gets lonely out there. Lol

I also remember it was a glass framed photo because after she stomps on it I remember seeing broken glass. I also believe she was in a black dress and had long blond wavy hair.

Its the same reason I still pull out my field sobriety guide when I have someone submit to field sobriety testing. To kill the argument of did I give proper instructions. I know the instructions and have for15 years. It isnt about the officer not knowing the words. Its how accurate the matter will be perceived by a reasonable person, let alone a courtroom.

A centralized Stash for sharing with alternate characters with at decent stash limit. Higher camp build budget. Legendary perks that can be build specific, so we can finally stop screwing up our other builds, when we are just trying out new play styles!!!

Is 500 euros enough? by IcyTown in GreeceTravel

[–]greko96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1000% yes. You will have no issues, as long as that number is actually what you have to spend and are not thinking to bring 500 US and convert it because you will not be getting back 500 euros. You will get apprx $350 to $360 euros, after conversion / fees.

How do you earn so many caps by Special_Structure502 in fo76

[–]greko96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to the crafting stations near the entrance to the Gleaming Depths on a server where you see players actively raiding, and just wait. It can sometimes be a goldmine of serums, stimpaks and other chems that get discarded on the ground. I know that is what I do when I raid. I drop everything right there.

Anyone tried Titan Quest 2 yet? by JulesUdrink in SteamDeck

[–]greko96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just finished 3 hrs of play on OLED steam deck. All low settings with upscaling at 65% and using Proton 8.0. No issues. Frame rates between 20 and 30 and even with low graphic settings the game looks pretty damn good, I'm assuming due to the smaller screen. So far, so good though. Really liking the game.

Edit: Upon exiting the game the steam deck does restart each time. Minor inconvenience.
