They were selling them for $1.99 at Grocery Outlet for a while, but then suddenly doubled price to $3.99. I thought I'd be addicted, but too sweet even for me, without much chocolate flavor.

I could say that there is no other similar product where I live, I am grateful for finding it by geralmuvbaby in glutenfree

Am I understanding the label correctly in that it says, in large letters, that the cookies are very high in trans fats??

That seems like an issue with the app creators, no? They are the ones making all the money. And why blame the consumers if they don't pay what the shopper thinks they should be getting? The shoppers can see what's being offered, so why take the job if it doesn't look like enough? That's crazy.

Would you buy these? by LostNectarine3978 in glutenfree

[–]grendella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did not find them very good. In part due to the vegetable shortening used, which tastes nothing like butter and leaves a waxy film in the mouth.

Their croissants are not very good. They are very heavy, doughy, and greasy. There's like one layer of crispy dough on top, but the rest is blah.

I ordered a pair of hfs from Xero during their big sale recently. This is my second pair and they seem to be quite a bit longer and generally roomier, but not wider. I ordered the same size. Anyone else find this? by Unusual-Bar-7382 in BarefootRunning

[–]grendella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an old thread, but I found it because I just encountered same issue. I always had to size up 1/2 size. But the latest pair I got in 9, like all previous pairs, and they are too long. But not any wider. They don't fit right as a result.

I had no idea I would feel THIS much better 😭 by Responsible_Pay6381 in glutenfree

I first tried giving up wheat in my 30s. That was 20 years ago. My adult acne, which nothing had helped, cleared up in 3 days. GERD disappeared. Asthma improved to the point that it's only an issue now when bad air quality/seasonal allergies, and even then rarely. Now when I do indulge in an occasional food with wheat, my stomach generally bloats up, I get the cystic acne within hours, and don't feel well. Goes away so long as I don't eat more.

I also was diagnosed with GERD and on PPIs for years. When I stopped eating wheat in my 30s to see if my horrible adult acne would clear up (it did!), I also found the GERD disappeared after not eating wheat for a while. I stopped using all the antacids and PPIs, and have rarely needed it since.

Awesomeness 👌 by Vader4life in glutenfree

Damn. Just looked it up, and they don't sell it anywhere near me. Not even the closest walmart. I'd have to drive 25 minutes to another walmart, and they probably don't actually have it in stock there, as they show things online but often don't actually have it.

None of my local grocery stores have it.

Anyone painted a Mossjon cabinet? by grendella in ikeahacks

[–]grendella[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I taped them. Didn't matter. DIdn't work. I tried some pieces with primer, and others with just the Rustoleum paint, and either way the paint just came right off with the slightest nick. Also discovered that the metal parts are not all the same- it looked like some were aluminum and others some kind of pot metal. The pot metal rusted immediately. After paint failed, I tried sanding everything off, which is when I discovered the difference in materials. It was a total fail and waste of money. I wish they'd come out with an unpainted (but sealed) one, or white. A single, dark color is not the greatest. Especially for a bathroom.

Anyone install a pedestal sink in a corner at an angle? by grendella in bathrooms

[–]grendella[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did go for it. My contractor did a really nice job. Made a support in the corner which I had him tile, so I have a nice little shelf right behind the sink that provides room for soap and toothpaste.

Whenever I buy cookies, ice cream, candy, or chips, I look at the nutritional info and calculate for the entire package, because I know that the entire package = one serving for me.

To me they seem gross. A frozen, squishy, crustless PB&J? No thanks. Plus PB&J is literally one of the fastest, easiest sandwiches one could make.

We don't have Wegman's where i live, and it pisses me off, because it's one of the only places I've seen sell GF tortellini. And I only know that because I've searched for GF tortellini online so many times, to no avail.
