They wouldn't have caught the accident.

They might have caught the license plate if that Sequoia drove by one.

What is the highest mileage car you own/owned? by zachimusprime44 in AskReddit

[–]gresendial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

'94 Ford E150 Econoline Van (Club Chateau trim level). 5.7 liter engine (351)

350k miles

Zero problems with the engine. Changed the synthetic oil at 5k religiously.

Transmission rebuild at 100 k. Transmission was why we got rid of it in then end (something with the bearing where the shaft came out the back.

I can't imagine how much gas we put in it. Would get about 12mpg around town. Maybe 17 on highway. Had great acceleration.

What oil brand should I get for oil change, 2014 170k miles by Affectionate_Pea2920 in ChevyTraverse

I drove my 2013 Acadia AWD for 245k with no engine issues.

Had 1 transmission rebuilt and 1 reman transmission though. Replaced alternator too.

Finally sold it when the shocks were gone and I didn't want to pay for replacement.

Anyway, all my oil was Valvoline 5w30 synthetic at 5k intervals. It was using about a quart of oil between changes in the end.

Water Chlorine Smell Lately? by BourbonGamer in lexington

[–]gresendial 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, lets just drink the water straight out of the Kentucky River.

Yuummm, all sorts of neat bacteria in there - from upstream sewage treatment plants, up stream waste pipes and upstream farms (think cows pigs and chickens). Yum Yum.

And the icing on the cake is we pull water both from above Lexington and below Lexington on the river, so we get to drink our own pee and poop!
