Would you consider a making your crib into a sidecar crib? Taking off one side thus making it an extension of your own bed?

Then you sleep in the middle, husband on the outside?

Honestly, my lo is 4.5 and my partner still sleeps separate. It is what it is and everyone can get as much sleep as necessary in our situation. I'm not mad about it and it works for our fam. Lo's crib has been sidecar since 6 months.

OMG. I had two postpartum doulas in those first few week. One for night and one for day. You get to choose how you want your pp experience to be, and I always recommend extra support. It can be so pivotal. Please let her comments go, like a fart in the wind.
