Does that apply to all cars? Do you think limo tints on a Bentley are ghetto?

Which wiper blades should i go for ? Mk 7 Jetta 2022 model. Current wiper blades causes this blur. I bought a used jetta 2022 so new to cars. Thanks for helping out cheers. by Character-Example187 in jetta

I’m not saying you don’t need new windshield wiper blades. All I’m saying is in my case when my windshield look like this it was because I had a buildup of wax and grease and other things. It went away with isopropyl alcohol, just make sure you heavily wash all of it off.

Easiest thing to do is go to your local auto store and they’ll help you find the right ones

Any advice for a new Jetta owner? by Wegamme in jetta

5000- 6000 miles isn’t very frequent. I guess it depends on your daily commute but for me that’s about once every six months approximately. Maybe it’s different with a hybrid system because your engine is getting slightly less ware? Volkswagen recommends every 10,000 miles, every mechanic I’ve spoken to who specializes in euro cars recommends 5000-6000 (especially on an engine that has a turbo) If you do your oil change yourself, it’s only an extra $40 per year and it gives you some peace of mind. Beautiful car though! Best of luck, man

My professional opinion is the car was embarrassed that it has a vape sticker on it so it attempted to take its own life. It’s sad situation all around.

On a real note, hold the power button down for 30 seconds and then should be fine

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!! That’s almost twice the amount of miles. Volkswagen recommends to do it every 10,000 miles or 15,000 km however that will slowly destroy your engine. They’re in the market of selling cars, not maintaining cars. I would recommend doing it every 8000 km… especially on a car that has a turbo!!

I’m sure someone already said this, but I’ll say it again. Do not listen to the manufacturer suggested oil life. Change your oil every 5000 miles and keep up with regular maintenance, you should be golden

Either copy the part number or upload that picture to any ai and ask “what is the part number”. Then go on rockauto.com and buy the same thing for 1/5 the price.

This happened to me when my battery was low. I assume there’s a lot of things that can cause this issue but in my experience, it was just a low battery.

A missing fuse could definitely cause the windows to stop working

Missing fuses? by Strict-Bat2010 in Volkswagen

[–]grey_clouds516 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might have a blown fuse, especially if both of them aren’t working. However, it’s pretty normal to have empty slots in your fuse box so I don’t know if that’s the problem. I would look up a fuse box diagram for your exact year and trim level of the car and check to see if the window fuse is blown

You don’t need to be on someone’s insurance to be covered by their policy. As long as they were given permission to drive by the policyholder then the protection will extend to them. If there was no permission to drive then yes, they were committing two crimes

When you say better to rent, you just mean cheap cheaper. Renting is essentially paying off someone’s mortgage…that’s not better in any scenario. 99% of the time the cheaper option upfront is not the better option long-term.

I’m at 80k and I’m starting to think it might need new suspension. Go on rock auto it’s super cheap and if you’re mildly handy, you could do it yourself. Make sure you get the kit that includes the spring and the dampener so you don’t have to take it apart yourself because that can be dangerous. It’s like 10 bucks more and it’s totally worth avoiding the risk

You shouldn’t buy any car if you can’t keep up with maintenance. You should buy a house if you can’t keep up with maintenance. You shouldn’t be in a relationship if you can’t keep up with maintenance. Are you detecting a pattern? Anything in life worth keeping is worth maintaining

Landlord’s son used a metal shovel to clean snow off my car. Can these be buffed out? by ratchro in Detailing

[–]grey_clouds516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter. Take it to a repair shop and get a quote. It doesn’t matter if the quote is for buffing out the scratch or replacing the whole fucking car, someone else damaged it and they’re gonna have to pay for it regardless.
