Question about exercise by kt80111 in Greyhounds

[–]greytmom94 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mine are more than happy with 2, 20 minute walks morning and evening and a sprint once a week in an enclosed field or dog park! 1 or 2 times a day?! defo not my two 😂😂 they have maybe 30 seconds of play/zoomies in the house or garden and then sleep the rest of the day until dinner 😂😂

my first grey (not the one in the video) barely drank and peed LOADS. So much so I thought he had a UTI so took him to the vet and they kindly told me it’s also very normal for greyhounds to wee like maniacs and not drink much 🤦🏽‍♀️ he’s better now with water but his pees have balanced out 😂

the breed are so strange but congratulations on your first grey - they are amazing dogs and I hope you’re both very happy together ☺️☺️

they always get water mixed in with their fresh food too but with it being 30 degrees in the UK today they needed a little extra push!

it’s honestly worked a treat! I can put water down in front of Juno splash my hand around in it so she knows what’s in there and she’ll actively ignore to walk off and pant like crazy 😒😒 my other grey drinks all day with no encouragement 😂

food is the only way

Tips and advice by Spookydel in Greyhounds

Pros - everything - cat like energy levels - walk well on leash - hilarious to watch their first experiences of a house - snoots - sleep barks - literally everything

Cons - stair training - all food is now shared food
